"Clean room, polite staff and nice breakfast! "

"The hotel is OK but looking very tired. I opted for the Executive room which didn't match the description on Hotels.com. When checking with reception I was advised that the room I was in was correct, which it definitely wasn't. As it was late in the day I didn't have the energy to debate. In the morning I discovered my shower didn't work as the heat adjustment knob was broken so after wasting 15 minutes I had to run a bath. When mentioning to the lady on reception she wasn't bothered and just asked if I was checking out today??? Overall it was OK, not great though and I won't be returning."

"Kept waiting outside the property ,taken up to room had to ask for the room key.Given the outside door code verbally ,why not give it on a card ?? Lousy area ,wouldnt stop there again."

"The hotel has been photographed well, but in reality the hotel has become a bit dated and worn around the edges. The jacuzzi was not working and the pool temperature was cold. Tiles missing in the steam room, and left broken on the floor. The ladies pool changing room showered were dirty with numerous large chunks of grit on the floor. I alerted the staff and though they apologised did not appear to leap into action to rectify the issue. The room I stayed in was missing any bathroom door hooks so my towel got soaked when the water leaked from the shower tray, onto a floor which has clearly been damaged from previous leaks with cracked grout. Bathroom also had dirty and mildly rusty towel radiator. Mattress was acceptable but had seen better days as the did the base of the bed which just looked battered. Food was acceptable but overpriced given the quality. The staff were polite and courteous and the views lovely, but overall I wouldn’t recommend to others. "

"If you're staying here, prepare not to sleep in The Laurel room. The creaking from the ceiling above was so loud, we didn't sleep until the people went to bed, which was 1:30am! Also, the Laurel room is right by the communal door, and as it's a latch lock, is clunky and loud when people go through. We ending up getting a refund for the second night we were so tired. The bed is also extremely firm, even with a mattress topper they put on top. Shower also was a dribble and mould around the shower screen. Besides this, the person I was communicating with via message agreed to the refund which was good. Room itself was lovely in decor, free fruit and cereal was also good. If we stayed again we would make sure to get a room that was upstairs! "

"A pool table or table football would have been good and is easier to contain compared to say table tennis.Grange Hall could sleep 24 but we only found 16 bowls.At night, outside in the driveway was extremely dark and we would have benefited from more courtesy lighting, even if sensor activated. Collecting things from the car in the dark was traumatic for some. I recommend some discrete lights in the grass. One person inadvertently reversed onto the grass because they couldn't see the border.My daughter and niece thought there could be improved lighting around the hot tub but I questioned why they went in there in the middle of the night anyway "
