"Nice hotel centrally located in the heart of old town, walking distance to most sites, restraunts, and places of interest. Also walkable to my meeting points for my tours and excursions. Many eateries right out the hotel door. My room was small and offered no view, it was just fine and cleaned daily. Breakfast is offered daily and ok."

"What a lovely hotel! It is located on a main street 5 minutes walk from the main train station. It's also only about 20 minutes to walk into the centre of Munich so is ideally situated. The rooms are very pleasant and housekeeping look after them extremely well. The highlight is the staff. Nika on reception was particularly helpful, pleasant and professional - a real credit to the hotel. All receptionists were welcoming and friendly as were the restaurant staff. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return."

"Perfect central location in old town near Marienplatz. Hotel had cool decor and good vibes, although full of fellow North Americans. Rooms are quite compact, but fully functional. Fine trade-off for the stellar location. Breakfast was amazing, come hungry!"

"Only stayed for a couple of nights during a road trip through Austria and Germany ending in Munich. After reading through what seemed like far too many hotel reviews, we settled on Anagram Im Tal. It was on a direct train line to the airport, and the location was in the centre of all the action in Marienplatz. We arrived very early and we knew that our room would most likely not be ready. The check in desk is situated on the upper floor in the bar, so we were offered a complimentary drink whilst we sat and waited - a beer and prosecco. We had already prepaid for our room, but we were still asked to leave a credit card on file for incidentals. Not a huge deal, but this was the only time we were asked to do this on our entire trip, as I know it is less common in Europe. The hotel was modern with an edgy vibe clearly geared to the more youthful crowd. The room itself was very small which I already knew it would be when booking, however it was more than adequate for 2 people for a couple of nights. Any longer and we would have struggled due to the lack of counter space. There was a coffee machine, laptop compatible safe and oddly, a yoga mat in the room, but unfortunately no fridge. We were able to grab a small ice bucket from the bar for the room when needed. The bathroom was small but immaculate, and even came with a complimentary condom! All in all, the Anagram Im Tal was more than adequate for our needs and would definitely recommend for a short stay."

"Perfectly located close to the train station and easy to walk everywhere. Unlimited free serve yourself espresso machines in the lobby 24/7 with whole milk and oat milk and many coffee options as well as sparkling and still water on tap. We rented cute bikes from the desk and rode them to the English garden minutes away, so convenient! Darling decor as well, it even has a very lovely alpine themed outdoor patio with resident cats. You really can’t beat this place for ambiance on a budget."
