Luxury apartment RODIA with great sea views in Rhodes - Ialysos

Cosy, stylish, comfortable and luxurious studio. My place is of excellent quality and fully equipped just 2 min from the beach. The large 70m2 veranda offers breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. A large table with chairs, cushioned sofas as well as a gas barbecue are available in order to enjoy a meal or a drink while admiring the full sea view, romantic sunsets and sunrises. On the first floor of Villa Rodia accessible by 18 marble steps.
The property shares a large (1500m2) garden of citrus fruit, herbs, roses, boucanvileas and flowers along with a large pool with sunbeds and space to relax.
There is plenty of parking space in the streets around the property.

For stays longer than 7 nights, we offer a complimentary cleaning session along with fresh sheets and towels.

We are located 2 min walk from the beach in a friendly neighbourhood with the locals sitting in the street and greeting passerbys, small taverns around the corner, grocery stores, bakery, cafeterias, play ground and the local bus stop within 7 min walk.
Ialyssos is famous for watersports especially windsurfing.

Ialyssos is one of the largest villages on the island of Rhodes, located on the island's north-western coast. Ialyssos was one of the first three ancient cities dating back to 3000BC. Here you will find one of the most important archaeological sites on the island on the hill of Filerimos. Here you will find the remains of the Acropolis of Ialyssos with the temple of Zeus and Athena, the remnants of the Byzantine fortifications, the 14th century church of the Knights of St. John and the 14 stops Jesus took to the road of Calvery, a path of Cypress trees with impressive shrines on both sides.

Mrs.Katerina was an amazing and engaged host. We were greeted with warm bougasta pastry and a most excellent moussaka! Her English is perfect and she has a stellar understanding of the history of her island, helping us to experience it more fully! The studio is small but well equipped and comfortable. The very large terrace was our favorite spot for coffee and meze. Just a few steps from the studio is a stone beach for some long walks and sea breezes. The weather was perfect and the tourists were sparse. We had no problems finding places to eat or simply have coffee and a pastry. Just perfect!

Beautiful

Stayed at this lovely apartment from 22nd-29th june and we loved it. Perfect view of the sea from the massive balcony area and just a 1 minute walk to the beach. Excellent restaurants nearby and beachside bars that provide sun beds. Also a secluded pool to cool off which we used a lot as the weather was baking hot. Finally a word about our host katerina, such a lovely witty lady who was always on hand she really made our stay complete. Thoroughly recommend you will not be disappointed if you book to stay here

Great location.

The property was very nice with a large veranda overlooking the Aegean Sea. Just a short walk to the beach and excellent bars and restaurants. Katerina was very helpful and assisted us whenever we had questions.

Wonderful time in Ialysos

The apartment was everything we needed and more! Location was perfect with a fantastic view from the superb terrace. Katerina and her son Lefteris were perfect hosts, very friendly and available to answer any questions that we had. I can highly recommend this apartment as the perfect place from which to experience Rhodes.

Vacances en Grèce

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances à la villa Mylos. La description de l'endroit, de la villa et les photos correspondent tout à fait avec l'annonce. La plage est bien à 100 mètres de la villa, à 2 minutes à pied. L'endroit est merveilleux. Katarina est chaleureuse, accueillante et disponible. Un petit coin de paradis. Je recommande cette villa et l'endroit.

Schönes Apartment mit super Aussicht

Das Apartment hat alles, was man braucht. Die Terrasse hat einen super schönen Ausblick direkt aufs Meer. Zu Fuß sind Restaurants und Supermärkte gut zu erreichen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit und direkt vor Ort als Ansprechpartnerin.

Ruhige Lage, tolle Aussicht vom Balkon

Ich hatte wunderschöne Tage in Ialysos. Die Wohnung ist sehr sehr schön. Ein Traum ist natürlich diese riesengroße Terrasse. Blick aufs Meer, Sonne oder Schatten, jenachdem was man gerne hätte. Auch die Inneneinrichtung ist toll. Außenjalousinen lassen einen gut schlafen. Parkplatz war immer zu bekommen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie Restaurants in kurzer Umgebung zu Fuß erreichbar. Ich würde die Wohnung jederzeit wieder mieten.

Erholsame Tage

Wir durften etwas mehr als eine Woche in dieser wundervollen Unterkunft verbringen. Katerina hatte uns vorher eine exakte Beschreibung gegeben, sodass wir den Eingang zum Appartement und die Schlüssel ohne Probleme finden konnten. Empfangen wurden wir von einer sauberen Unterkunft und einer Flasche Wein. Das Bett war bezogen, Handtücher lagen bereit. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft, allerdings darf man keine absolute Stille erwarten. Die Straße wird befahren - wenn auch wenig, aber man ist nun mal teil des normalen Leben der Anwohner. Uns störte das gar nicht. Die häufig erwähnten Flugzeuge flogen nicht jeden Tag dauerhaft über die Unterkunft (bzw manchmal war Landeanflug, manchmal Abflug). Die Lärmbelästigung war für uns absolut erträglich. Abends und nachts fliegen sie nicht. Wie schon in anderen Rezensionen beschrieben, ist Katerina eine tolle Gastgeberin. Auch wir erhielten Tipps und Ausflugsempfehlungen. Vielen dank an dieser stelle! Die Insel selber überzeugte mit fast durchweg schönem Wetter Anfang Oktober. Es war nur noch wenig los, was uns gut gefallen hat. Wir erkundeten die Insel mit einem in Deutschland gebuchten Mietwagen, was am Flughafen einwandfrei abgewickelt wurde. Zu den Ausflugszielen muss man nichts sagen, Google hilft da. Gleiches gilt für die Supermärkte. Wir waren unter anderem auch im direkter Nähe zur Unterkunft Essen, am besten gefallen hat es uns bei Mr.Greek. der Service war unfassbar freundlich und für zwei Personen haben wir dort inklusive Wein sehr günstig und lecker essen dürfen - ideal vielleicht auch am ersten oder letzten Abend. Wir hoffen, dass wir noch einmal die Gelegenheit bekommen, wieder zu kommen. Danke!

Tolle Gastgeberin, grosszügige Terrasse und gute, strandnahe Wohnlage

Das Apartment ist gut gelegen. Viele Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe, der Kiesstrand ist zu Fuss in 2 Minuten erreicht und ein grösseres Lebensmittelgeschäft befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe (2 Minuten mit dem Auto). Das Apartment ist mit allem Notwendigen eingerichtet. Die Küche genügt für die Zubereitung von einfachen Mahlzeiten. Am besten gefallen hat uns aber die grosszügige Terrasse. Die in hoher Kadenz der anfliegenden Linienjets hat uns nicht speziell gestört (Anflugschneise direkt über Ialysos). Ganz toll ist die Gastgeberin Katerina: sie hat uns viele praktische Tipps gegeben, welche sehr fundiert waren, da sie selber auch als Reiseleiterin tätig ist. Zudem erfreute sie uns regelmässig mit ihrem gekonnten Klavierspiel (Pianistin). Nochmals vielen herzlichen Dank.

Fantastic Holiday

We arrived late in the evening,and check in was easy.The key was in the stated location.This was our 3rd stay at Rodia Studio and we will definitely book again for next year. The location is per fect.Sea view,beach at a minutes walk.Lovely quiet neighbourhood,friendly locals,and lovely taverna/snack bar on the way to the beach.You can see it,but not hear it,from the balcony.All the restaurants,shops,and tavernas are an easy flat walk away.Katerina is a perfect host.Being an accredited tour guide,we booked her for a 4 hour West Coast tour.We took in Filerimos ,a winery with wine tasting,and lunch in a taverna in the inland village where Katerina was born,and has 2 other village properties to rent.Such a great day out,and I can highly recommend it .It was my Birthday while we were there,and she very kindly cooked us a meal,delivered it to us,and we ate on the balcony at sunset.Magical.Thankyou again Katerina,we will be back next year for sure x

Schönes Apartment mt toller Terasse

Wir waren eine Woche hier untergebracht und hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Das Apartment ist geräumig und hell, man kann jedoch alle Fenster abdunkeln, es gibt überall Fliegengitter und eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist die Nähe zum Flughafen, da doch täglich viele Flieger bis spät abends nah am Apartment vorbei fliegen und Ialyssos in der Einflugschneise liegt. Da wir jedoch mit einem Mietwagen die meiste Zeit unterwegs waren, haben wir davon nicht allzu viel mitbekommen. Ansonsten gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe alles für den täglichen Bedarf. Katerina ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin und ebenfalls als Inselguide tätig. Wir haben sie zwar nicht gebucht, aber trotzdem viele wertvolle Insidertipps von ihr bekommen, sie spricht sehr gut deutsch und englisch.

Entspannung pur im Oktober

Im Oktober kann man auf Rhodos herrlich relaxen. Die Villa Rodia ist dazu die perfekte Basis. Die Nähe zum (fast menschenleeren) Strand und zu Rhodos-Stadt ist ideal. Das Mittelmeer hatte noch 26°C. Man hat alles, was man zum Leben braucht, in der Nähe (leckere Brötchen z.B. in der "Cake Box" ). Restaurants gibt es reichlich, die Bewertungen unter Google-Maps sind hilfreich. Die große Terasse des Appartement lädt abends zum "Ausbaumeln" ein. Klare Empfehlung. Tipp für Neuankömmlinge: Der Zugang zum im Obergeschoß gelegenen Appartement ist eine Außentreppe auf Rückseite des Gebäudes.

Fantastic apartment

We had a fabulous stay in Katerina's apartment. Location perfect for a chilled holiday and within walking distance of bars and restaurants. The sea view was perfect and the terrace was fabulous. Katerina was very helpful and was at hand if we needed anything. Would definitely stay there again.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung

- liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung mit super schöner Terrasse - toller Blick auf´s Meer - gute Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten aller Art - sehr liebe Vermieterin - spricht wahrscheinlich alle Sprachen dieser Welt ;) - wenn nochmal Rhodos - dann nur bei Katherina !! Rhodos ist eine sehr schöne Insel, wir hatten tolles Wetter und das Meerwasser war auch angenehm.

Das Studio Villa Rodia war sehr schön wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, so das ich mir vorstellen könnte dort noch einmal Urlaub zu machen. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend man hätte wahrscheinlich mit ihr Pferde stehlen können.Der Strand war ebenfalls fast vor der Haustüre so das man baden gehen konnte wann man wollte. Das Auto hatten wir in Deutschland gemietet was am Flughafen reibungslos ablief. Ich kann nur sagen Daumen nach oben auf alles bis auf die FeWO-direkt. Hier bemängel ich das die Kaution nicht an den Vermieter geht von dem man es dann auch gleich bei der Abreise zurück bekommen könnte, sondern man ist auf gutwill nun angewiesen bis man es von Fe-Wo zurück bekommt. Bis jetzt noch nicht erhalten 200 Euro nach 6 Tagen.

Modern, clean and comfortable accomodation, huge veranda, good location, perfect for a couple

We had a great stay at Villa Rodia. It's modern, spacious and well furnished with a firm but very comfortable bed. The air conditioning is great if you need it, but there are also plenty of mosquito-proof windows on all sides that allow you to catch a nice sea-breeze. The huge veranda is private and offers a good view out over to Ialysos beach some 150 metres away. We spent many an enjoyable afternoon and evening just sitting out on the veranda. The only possible negative is the cooking facilities, if you're looking to do your own hot meals then you'll find the mini-cooker is pretty basic, but TBH that didn't bother us at all as we mainly ate out anyway. There are plenty of good restaurants, little shops and car hire places very close by, although the location is nonetheless relatively peaceful and not at all tacky. A five minute walk takes you to the main road to Rhodes town, where you can find a good-sized modern supermarket and bus stops. Rhodes town itself takes only a few minutes by car, the airport is only about fifteen minutes way, and you're also well-placed to travel down the west coast road, or head across to the east coast and on to Lindos. Katerina is extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, her English is impeccable and she is a very interesting lady! We'd have no hesitation in recommending Villa Rhodia and if we ever do go back to Rhodes then we'd certainly consider staying there once again. If you book, you won't regret it!
