Absolutely loved our stay at the Sol Cosmopolitan. We found the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly. The all inclusive buffet had an excellent choice of food every day. The pool bar added to the selection of feed available and had a relaxed vibe in the evening. If you choose to use the spa treatments, I've never had a better massage! The Abba tribute on the Friday were excellent fun.

1wk in Sept in a group of 40-60yr old women. Pros: Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Lovely sunset view from the Terrace Bar. Short walk to Ixia bars/restaurants, on a main bus route for Ixia, Rhodes and airport. Taxi’s come quick if ordered by Hotel. There’s a rank just outside too. There are 2/3 shops to pick up essentials, typical holidays gifts and beach stuff. There are 3/4 bars/restaurants right outside hotel. Reception were helpful with a room change. 5mins walk (across a main road or using an underpass) to the beach / sea. The pizza at the pool bar was nice. The barman in the lobby bar was great. Cons: The whole place needs a refresh. Especially soft furnishings. It’s very dated. I felt we paid well over the odds for what it was. The All Inclusive buffet was challenging, we ate out 2-3 nights out of 7. There were some live cooking stations but the quality and taste didn’t work. Rooms are VERY basic. We didn’t see any decent entertainment all week, except what was coming out of the kids club. The worst beach I’ve ever been to in my life - it was like dirt rather than sand, lots of plastics and cigarette butts and you definitely need to buy rubber beach shoes as it’s all pebbles. Just go B&B and use it as a base to explore Ixia & Rhodes if you get a really cheap deal. Try Villa de Mar and Amalfi Coast in Ixia.

The hotel is dated. We lost electricity one day and the TV was broken and never replaced, despite them having a look at it. Buffet food was fine but lacked flavour unfortunately, although kids loved it. There was a lot of sun lounges around the pool, just need to get up early and secure one with a towel. Loved having three pools for the kids to go between, a great small kids splash pool near kids club, a quiet pool and then the biggest pool had music playing and lots of activities. The entertaining staff were brilliant and showed enthusiasm daily. I wasn't so keen on the evening entertainment.

The staff were all amazing! Always friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself was tired in some comunal areas and the sunbeds were not very comfortable, but overall it was well maintained. Pools were clean and toilet facilities wete cleaned regularly. Rooms were cleaned daily. Toiletries only replenished when we asked. 5th floor room had good views. Superior rooms same size as other rooms. We asked to move from our original room as it had an extra single bed in, which meant there was a table and chairs squeezed next to double bed. We literally would have had to climb over the furniture to get in and out of bed! Food was good. Cocktails not great - mostly too sweet as lots of orange juice drink and syrups. Self service soft drinks and ice cream.

Super hôtel pour un séjour en famille avec des enfants. Très bien situé, avec une ambiance agréable et un buffet bon et varié. La cuisine est peu salée, mais on peut facilement ajouter soi-même. La vue sur la plage est magnifique et l’accès par le petit tunnel à pied est très pratique. Il y a également deux supérettes juste au pied de l’hôtel, ce qui est vraiment pratique. Côté points à améliorer : l’hygiène reste correcte mais, étant assez maniaque, j’ai remarqué certains détails comme une odeur d’égout dans la salle de bain, la présence de rideaux de douche que je n’apprécie pas, ainsi que quelques signes d’usure sur les sanitaires. Je n’ai pas non plus aimé les verres en plastique réutilisables, qui laissaient parfois un goût désagréable. Dans l’ensemble, un très bon séjour et un hôtel que je recommande malgré ces petits détails.

Gutes Essen mit sehr großer Auswahl, alles wurde immer sofort aufgefüllt. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sehr gute Englischkenntnisse und viele haben auch Deutsch gesprochen. Pool und sonstige Umgebung sehr sauber und gepflegt, der Strand war vermutlich aufgrund der Jahreszeit noch nicht ganz auf Stand (noch recht viel angeschwemmter Müll).

Perfekt ställe att åka med sin familj eller sin flickvän för en lugn, trevlig eller romantisk semester. Är man ute efter en utekväll men inte vill bo inne i stan finns det taxistation som går direkt in till centrum för 9 euro, 1-4 pers. Men ska man ut o upptäcka staden nattetid skulle jag personligen bo på mitsis grand eller möjligtvis inne i gamla stan. Hotellet erbjuder också olika aktiviteter dagligen men stänger 01.00. all inclusive är också enbart i bruk fram till 23.00 men det som ingår i den kommer man väldigt långt på. Såvida det kommer till maten är den bra för att vara grekisk standard. Men som sagt det är ju en cafeteria/buffe så inge 5 stjärnig lyx middag med oxfile direkt.

La struttura si trova sulla baia di Ixia, in una posizione panoramica dalla quale si possono osservare le coste della Turchia e dei tramonti mozzafiato, soprattutto dalle bellissime camere vista mare situate al sesto e al settimo piano. Lo staff è estremamente cordiale e amichevole, la pulizia delle camere e degli spazi pubblici, comprese le piscine, è il punto di forza dell'hotel, grazie alla dedizione e all'impegno del personale delle pulizie che, nonostante lavori senza sosta, è sempre con il sorriso. Buona animazione, sia per adulti che per bambini, compresi gli spettacoli serali. Andrebbe invece decisamente migliorata la qualità delle bevande comprese nella formula all inclusive, che al momento è insufficiente e non rispecchia gli standard dell'hotel. Le spiagge antistanti l'hotel, seppur gradevoli dal punto di vista panoramico, sono adatte soltanto agli amanti del wind surf e altri sport analoghi. Il mare di Ixia è molto mosso e ventoso e la spiaggia di ciottoli non è molto pulita. Tuttavia questo non dipende dall'hotel, poiché sono gestite da privati. Consigliamo di noleggiare un'auto per visitare alcune spiagge fantastiche e le maggiori attrazioni presenti sull'isola.

Bra skick på hotellet jmf med likvärdiga hotel på Rhodos. Maten helt ok för all inc. också det jmf med andra all inc. Bra med snackbar vid poolen runt lunch. Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Lite tråkigt närområde men nära till Rhodos stad och Iallysos med taxi eller buss.

Hotel let down day the food and inclusive drinks

The staff including the manager are great. It is very clean and has a nice spa. However the inclusive drinks are very poor especially the spirits which bare no resemblance to the originals. I went to the nearby shop and bought my own bottle of whisky on the first night. Although not as bad,the food is repetitive and mostly of poor quality. We ate out many times in the evening even though we were all inclusive.The manager explained that they had to keep within a budget. I would suggest they divert more money to the food and drink. They are by far the main reasons why I would not return. There are not many restaurants within easy walking distance. Beware of recommendations from the locals because everyone has a relation or friend linked to a restaurant. Ask another tourist if they’ve tried any. We were always able to get a sunbed near either of the clean pools. This hotel seems very popular with Germans,French,Skandinavians and Russians. Some who lack any manners,especially in the restaurant. The evening entertainment is poor except for the Greek night with local dancers. The rest of the evenings it is the hotels enthusiastic but amateur animation team who are much better suited to the daytime activities. The beach just across the road is not very good and very windy and stony. Wear something on your feet as it’s very uncomfortable. The hotel is situated between Rhodes town and Lalysos with not much choice of facilities and restaurants.

GREAT PEOPLE, MADE OUR STAY. GREAT LOCATION.

What makes this hotel special is the staff, always smiling, helpful and kind, something that can always make or ruin a holiday so for us, they made our holiday. 2 lovely swimming pools (it would have been nice it the hotel puts a sign for "adults only" in one of them as there is plenty of room for children on the bigger swimming pool where all the activities take place. Good selection of food and snacks. The staff at the cocktail bar were lovely too, local drinks do not taste as good as the branded ones but I guess you expect this in an all inclusive resort. Great location, bus stop just outside the hotel. Beach also a few steps away.

Kohtuuhinnalla hyvää tasoa!

Hotellin sijainti meren äärellä hyvä. Hyvät bussiyhteydet Rodoksen kaupunkiin, kävellen noin puoli tuntia. Ystävällinen, palvelualtis henkilökunta . Mukava, viihtyisä allas-alue ohjelmineen . Hyvä ruoka.

Hade en bra vistelse .. bra bemötande o bra mat i resturangen .. men det stod att det fanns en barn klubb ..det enda vi såg av den var en minidisco på kvällen .. vart fann aktiviteter på dagen??

Mycket nöjda!

Mycket nöjda med själva hotellet. Bra servis, trevlig personal fräscha rum och hela hotellet. Maten var mer än OK, alltid något intressant att äta, alla kan hitta det de vill. Varierande maträtter (grekiskt, italiensk, kinesisk, osv) varje dag fullt med frukt och grönt samt massa med efterrätter. Alko drinkar kändes blandade med vatten, men inget stor problem för oss. Snacks fanns tillgänglig under eftermiddag samt fika, glass, drinkar, osv. Animation teamet var bra, flera program om dagen både för vuxna och barn. Man kunde koppla av lite själv när barnen lekte i Mini Club (barn 8 år och 3 år). Var besviken på själva Ixia området, slitet med dåligt infrastruktur som kunde hållas renare. Det fanns ett par restauranger och butiker i närheten. Men man kunde ta buss eller taxi till Rhodos City som ligger ca 10 min från hotellet och där fanns det mycket att göra, upptäcka, osv. Taxi kostade 10 euro och buss 2 euro/person. Stranden var tvärs över gatan och var rätt stenig, men med vacker och varm havsvatten. Parasoll med 2 stolar kostade 10 euro. Solstolar vid bassängen behövde man reservera med handduk inte senare än kl 8-8.30 på morgonen, kom man senare än så det var svårt att hitta plats. Det blåste mycket i Ixia, vilket var skönt.

Average hotel, nothing special

Somehow they had managed to overbook the hotel which meant we were staying in a different hotel for the first 2 nights. When we finally got back to this hotel is was very disappointing. The staff were fairly useless and a little rude. The food was pretty tasty, can't complain about that. Shame they didn't know how to pour beer. All in all I wasn't very impressed with the hotel. Wouldn't recommend to anyone going to Rhodes, at all.
