The cabin was spotless and the location was perfect. We appeciated the circular driveway as well as we had a trailer with a canoe.
Would highly recommend for a quiet place to stay by the lake. Kids loved it, property had a lot of space for them to run, fish, and sit outside by the firepit.
Our family was able to stay here for a few days to celebrate the nuptials of our nephew. The house is charming and gives perfect lake vibes. We enjoyed the beautiful views and fishing. We hope to rebook another trip soon!
we try to go every year, and it never gets boring. The quiet beauty of everything around the house is just so relaxing. If you are looking for a great place to stay, Stay here...You'll be glad you did.. See you next year.
This place is fantastic!! Would definitely book again in the future !! Host is very attentive & sweet ! Clean & beautiful porches , great fishing !! Very roomy , loved it !!!
If you’re looking to relax with some peace and quiet and a beautiful view. This is your place! The property has everything you need, Awesome patio, fire pit, private dock and if you fish; you’ll catch plenty of fish in this cove (I did).
The property is super clean and spacious. I really enjoyed it!
We are from Delaware and wasn't sure what to expect. The property was just as described and very nice. We had 8 in our party and stayed busy and relaxed. The host was easy to get a hold of for questions, and very responsive. We will definitely be back.
We found the owners to be very helpful. The cabin was exactly what we expected. The beds were comfortable. It was nicely furnished. We all had fun on the docks, and outdoor spaces. We fished, kayaked, boated, sunbathed, and cooked outside.
We would go there again in a heartbeat!! Thanks Grangers. Mick
I took my 3 sons for a guys fishing weekend. Enjoyed every minute. My youngest son, caught his first real big fish off the dock and now he’s hooked! Thank you Deborah and Vaughn!
The home is far from the busy towns and city's. Come to get away from it all. We have stayed here 3 times and never want to leave. Kitchen and grill have everything you need to cook. There is a great little family owned restaurant walking distance if you want someone to cook for you. The menu is fresh and food is delicious. We brought kayaks and enjoyed the lake. It's so nice just to sit out under the trees and relax in the mornings and at sunset.
We've rented many houses on Lake Wateree. This is the nicest house we've rented in this area. Even better, this isn't a house, it's a cabin, and very nice. It's spacious and very clean. It's two stories. The upstairs bedrooms have balconies overlooking the lake. The yard is immaculate, easy to walk around. There's an outdoor firepit, charcoal grill, and a large porch. Beautiful views of the lake. My husband had some great fishing from the dock. The owner is a very nice person. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to return. Mendoza family.
The house was perfect for us (4 adults). Although we didn't go in the water, it was easily accessible. The location was ideal, especially with a convenient store within a mile of the house. However if one is planning to make meals at the house, you will need to provide everything (including spices etc) that you would need to get at a bigger store before arriving. Would have liked additional amenities (iron, ironing board, hair dryer) as well as flashlight/candles/matches since there was a power outage in the area, but these factors would not deter us from returning to this beautiful home.
The house is tucked away on the lake and was so quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfy, we had everything we needed in the house. The deck has several seating areas and ceiling fans that make it perfect for morning with lights that make it perfect for evenings. We were able to hang out on the deck in July which we didn't expect. It was a great place to walk the neighborhood as well. No traffic so all you hear are the birds. Lots of comfy seats inside and a nice kitchen made it feel like home. You have an amazing view of the lake from the den, and every bedroom has a view of the lake. This is a great place!
The house and lot are a great fit for our group. We spend a lot of time on the water, but when it’s time to stop, we want to relax in the shade. Several boat launches are close by and the dock has plenty of room for our boat. Water depth can vary, so check with Duke Power for the latest information. Plenty of parking for your vehicle as well. Deer visit the neighbors each night at 3am, so if you’re staying upstairs and facing the yard, shut your blinds. Motion sensor lights may wake you up. I enjoyed the deer, but you may not. HaOwners are great. We have rented the home on multiple occasions and will be back this Fall.
First off, the pictures do NOT do this place any justice! It is so beautiful and peaceful 😍 We did a three night stay with a 8 and 2 year old and they enjoyed every minute of it. The home was extremely clean and well stocked with linens, extra supplies, and almost every kitchen appliance you can think of. You will need to being condiments and seasonings if you plan to cook, supplies for the coffee maker, and Tupperware if you plan to save anything. The view from the balconies and the view of the lake in general were so beautiful. We caught a good bit of fish and threw them back so ita a perfect spot for fishing. There is a charcoal grill but it is lit by gas and also a full gas grill. The internet went out while we were there and the owners were nice enough to stop by and make aure everything was ok. There is a restaurant about 2-3 minutes away on the lake called The Retreat which is beautiful. You can eat breakfast lunch or dinner by the lake. Theres also a market/gas station across feom the restaurant. The Winnsboro train museum was 29 minutes away so we made a day of that with the kids but overall it was a pleasant trip and I look forward to booking again!
