"The Hilton Chicago is the best hotel I have ever been in over 45 years of traveling. The hotel is spectacularly maintained and the staff supremely helpful and concerned about the customers needs. The breakfast buffet is totally worth the cost. The location is second to none. If I wind up in Chicago again, I will be found at the Hilton Chicago."

"The hotel staff were friendly, and the rooms were mostly clean; however, the hotel itself is very dated. The tile in the shower is discolored, the sofa bed is extremely thin and miserable to sleep on, and the mattresses are subpar at best. Not to mention the microwave had a broken foot on it which made it tilt causing our food to be heated unevenly, and the refrigerator (despite us adjusting the temperature) kept our drinks, just slightly cooler than room temperature. The staff stated our card had declined when in fact, it was a security check from our bank that we did clear, and should have been charged following clearance. We basically arrived and didn’t have a room anymore. I would assume this is fairly common that banks would require customers to verify a transaction in a different city, but instead of reaching out to us, the hotel gave our room to someone else and we were left having to book a different...
