"We loved the location, as it was only a 10 minute walk from the train station. The breakfast and happy hour were great! The staff were very helpful and assisted us with transportation to the airport. The only thing that can be improved on, our bathroom had a musty smell and we noticed it was coming from the sink, so some better ventilation would be a great addition as it felt a bit stuffy in the room and bathroom."

""A"... perhaps "the" classic ryokan. Relaxed (genuine) gracefullness that is not commercial or something you can teach. It is not a material luxury experience (there are many others who fit this expectation), so much as an unintentional unmannicured view into the past of old Kyoto. Very dreamy for me at least!. It felt like returning to my granny's house in post war Setayaga. Special. There are exceptional people among the staff whose heart beats echo mine and that era."

There is a record player with a great vinyl record library and a wide assortment of games to play while you relax in the comfy chairs and sofas. We highly recommend it!"
