I stayed at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center this past weekend with my husband. While the room itself was clean and comfortable, the overall experience was mixed. The hotel exterior is very dated and has a dingy appearance, which was not welcoming upon arrival.
The front desk staff left much to be desired. One staff member openly stated, “I’m not a people person,” which was concerning—especially in a hospitality setting. It definitely set the tone for poor customer service.
We also had repeated issues with our key cards not working, which became especially frustrating when we were stuck outside the building during heavy rain. That alone was extremely inconvenient.
To be fair, if you're just looking for a quick overnight stay and a cheap place to sleep on your way somewhere else, this might suffice. But as a vacation spot or long-term stay? I would not recommend it.
