"We loved our stay at The River House. The property is in a safe area of Crescent city, conveniently located between the beach and the Jedediah Redwoods. Our vacation didn’t go according to plan, with a visit to the ER 12 hours after arriving, but having a cozy home for my husband to recover in and keep my kids busy during the recovery helped save our vacation. The house is indeed fully stocked, so that was very appreciated. Small things you never pack or anticipate needing (like a heating pad) were there. There’s even a crock pot I wish I had found earlier. My kids loved searching for banana slugs, frogs in the river, making s’mores and playing lots of ping pong. What a great house. We will be back (hopefully without kidney stones)."

"An incredible stay! Both the cabin and its location were unmatched. Being situated right on the river provided a serene, peaceful, and deeply calming atmosphere. We absolutely loved the outdoor setup; the patio has spectacular river views, and having dedicated steps to walk down to the water was amazing. The hosts thoughtfully provided chairs and blankets, making it seamless to head down and relax right on the water. The cabin itself was exceptionally comfortable and stocked with every amenity we needed. Its proximity to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park was a huge plus for trail exploring. We were only there 3 nights and we didn't want to leave! We would definitely stay here again."

"A wonderful location, about 10 minutes from the Redwood parks. About a 30 minute drive to the coast, with its amazing beaches. We combined a great beach walk with a visit to the Trees of Mystery attraction - very worthwhile, with a skywalk and gondola ride through a redwood forest that lets you appreciate the amazing redwoods from a new angle. The house is in a quiet area along the gorgeous Smith River. The garden is delightful and has several decks with comfortable seating and lovely views of the river. The surroundings are full of birds and other wildlife. The house itself was very comfortable for our party of 6. It's very well equipped, cozy, and clean.Such a charming home base for exploring one of the country's most stunning natural areas. Thanks to our host for completely trouble-free booking and communication!"

"Very comfortable home with a gorgeous outside deck over looking the Smith River. Many thoughtful updates and comfy beds/sofa. Once the carpets are switched out the price will match the home. Wish there was access to the river, but understand the landscape makes it very difficult. Would definitely come back."
