"We were on a cycle tour and we left our bikes locked up safely in the entrance way. Our room was very comfortable, we stayed in the Curiosities room. The hotel is in a characterful building and is thoughtfully decorated with great attention to detail. It was a shared bathroom, which we actually had to ourselves, again nicely decorated and clean. "We really enjoyed our stay here! The owner was so welcoming, our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was served in a nice room and the restaurant experience was superb - we had a delicious dinner outside on the terrace. My son enjoyed dipping into the pool and our dog was happy all around! Great please highly recommend! "

"We had a super stay, so friendly , food was really great."

"Location was perfect and check in and parking we're easy. It's an old building which has been tastefully decorated. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Great shower. Would have liked and egg with breakfast. "

"Great place to stay. The owner is your receptionist, your evening restaurant waiter, and your morning breakfast waiter as well. Then he checks you out. By the end of your stay, he’s a friend. 🙂"

"Very pleasant stay and kind and serviceminded staff"

"I personally like the convenience and privacy of an ensuite, which is the only reason Trecastle doesn't get five stars all the way. That aside it's an excellent place to stay with lovely, friendly hosts and secure garage parking for my motorbike. I will return."
