"Clean bedroom and bathroom. Public areas not so much. When we arrived late afternoon there were empty beer bottles in the corridor near our bedroom, old, dirty, cutlery outside another, on another floor. Room service plates etc outside another. These were there still the next day at check out. Staff were not overly personable on reception either, no info. given about leisure centre on check in - would have been helpful to know swim school runs on a Saturday morning! On check out when dropping off key, 2 staff, 1 helping customer while the other seemingly ignored me and then tried to help a man that barged past me! It's a shame as this has always been a lovely hotel!"

"The room and bathroom was updated. Major issue is the soap dispenser on the wall of the tub, it does not work because of the pump. Had to use the soap pump on hand washing sink. Window glass could use some cleaning and the cobwebs on the top left corner needed to be removed. Staffs are very nice. I had some issues trying to turn off the TV. Paid Breakfast available."

"It is a beautiful bungalow right on the coast. There is a footpath to walk along the coast and playgrounds for children. Portchester Castle is a short walk down the coast. Bus service is about 6 blocks away and you can easily travel to Fareham, Port Solent, Portsmouth and areas of interest. Great local restaurants and grocery shops. Laundrette right across from the bus stop.The unit is beautifully decorated and well stocked with towels and linens."

"House is lovely and was very clean and welcoming. There were issues with a rusty barbecue and a faulty freezer but I'm sure those matters will be resolved for future guests. I was offered recompense for wasted food if appropriate (not necessary).Happy to recommend."

"Room was compact but ok Clean & warm -visited in December Safe didn’t work which may have been batteries but was an overnight stay so not a big issue Found bfast strange -started with fruit juice, cereal, toast & croissants -the latter usually served after full English. I found a hair in my scrambled egg which I’d eaten & had to remove from my mouth -not pleasant. Girl serving who was doubling as a receptionist didn’t apologise which I thought odd & asked me to put on a plate so she could show kitchen. I couldn’t eat rest of breakfast & didn’t have time to reorder even though she asked if could get me anything else. She did apologise later as we checked out. I did say not what I expected as kitchen workers wear hats -she said the chef was bald. I know these things happen unfortunately. Think bfast could do with being served at 08.00 We arrived on Sunday at 16.00 -3 places in Wickham served food but only one open at this time. The soundproofing in the room did not prevent noise from next room Would I stay again -yes -not sure I’d have breakfast though "
