Excellent

Room was adequate with small en-suite but it worked. Room noisy due to main B class road outside one window and an air conditioning unit below the other window.
Plus side, beer and food very good and excellent helpful staff
Some of the friendliest and kindest staff I've ever had, with a simple and easy check-in/check-out process. Also very delicious food at the pub downstairs as well. My bed was very comfortable as well, and the room was very clean.
Overall, I'd gladly come back to stay if I ever visit again.
Absolutely fantastic pub with very friendly and helpful staff (the 2 Emma’s especially). Brilliant food and beers and a clean and comfortable room. Cannot recommend more highly and will definitely be back again!
Very competitive price for a comfortable room. Accommodation( total of 4 rooms) was adjacent to and accessed via the village pub , but we did not hear a thing ! Nice outdoor space for relaxing or dining/ drinking.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again.
Only considerations are staircase up to accommodation and breakfast is not served in the pub.
We were made very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The regulars in the Pub were also very friendly. Room was clean and met all our needs.
The food was also very good and inexpensive. FIVE stars all around.
Lovely welcome, clean, warm comfortable room.
The only problem was, I was unable to eat at the premises on Monday evening this time of year. Apparently they start serving.evening meals again on Monday evenings come March time.
Room was clean & tidy but could do with some TLC. Missing shelve in shower, broken furniture. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only criticism is no room cleaning was done on the day between our 2 night stay.
On arrival staff were friendly and helpful
On entering the room it just smelt of damp , the walls and bathroom was mouldy
Bathroom tiny
Would not stay there again

Live band didn’t help!
The hotel was clean, the rooms were spacious enough, the only downside was a live band on outside on our first night right underneath our window, the bed and floorboards felt the vibrations and after travelling all day and wanting to sleep, we were unable to do so until the band stopped which was after 11pm. We had no prior notice of this except for a board outside, would not have stayed if we had known this was a possibility as we woke up the day after with very little sleep!

Cheap but could be better
Whilst the overall pub/restaurant was very attractive and popular, the bedroom we had (room1) was very small, with very little space or furniture on which to place our clothes etc. The en-suite shower room was particularly inadequate as there were no shelves or surfaces on which to place toothbrushes or toiletries (no toiletries were provided other than some hand wash. Furthermore, the basin waste was partially blocked as it took ages to empty the washbasin. However, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the price of the room was very reasonable; other bedrooms may be much better but I would not recommend a stay in room 1
Great place for Dad and son before going on a tank driving and firing day. Good pub food good basic and clean room. Very pleased with the price and would most definitely recommend and return.
