Decent family stay on a trip

Rooms are good for the price, lil hole in the wall hotel only one for a lil bit in the area. Caretaking family is SUPER NICE, and my only gripe is the waffle maker had crusty all over it, like it has never been touched by a paper towel.

Minimal Expectations for Price & Location

I wasn’t expecting much for our one night stay because of the low price. Bed was fine, room was clean, refrigerator worked well. The TV many more channels then I needed, but the volume control on the remote would NOT work and I would have preferred it lower. Then when I was ready for bed, the power off on the remote control would NOT function. I tried multiple different ways to turn off the TV to no avail. I could not find any manual buttons, switches, knobs, etc on the TV itself as I searched all over the TV with my flashlight. I finally gave up and pulled the power plug out. The tap water looked clear but it has a very high mineral content and we could not use it to bush our teeth; using the bottled water we had. My shower in the morning had plenty of hot water and good flow. The bottom of the shower curtain was stained from the hard water and it had additional black stains from what?, but really needs replacing. Wallpaper in the bathroom was loose in a couple of places. The bathroom mirror was missing some of the reflecting layer around the edges. The toilet worked as it should but it was very low. When my knees are above my hips, it makes it much harder to get up (a problem for many older people). The breakfast was just OK, except for the waffle batter was very thin resulting in the waffle sticking in the iron. My wife had a hard time getting it out of the waffle iron.

The room was clean but the hotel was very dated. Many of the rooms were not operational and the back door was not locked after dark for safety. Breakfast was one biscuit, a fourth of a pitcher of apple juice and dry cereal but no milk. The coffee was stale and burnt tasting. The staff was very friendly and very nice.

Thankfully we just needed it for a quick 1 night stay on a road trip.. the property was filthy, blue sticky stuff on the blankets, bugs on the ceiling, the towels were dirty, there’s no water pressure in the shower. Will never stay here again

The room was not as advertised. Wall paper was loose, carpet dingy, furniture soiled, bathroom had several containers for soap and shampoo that were old and empty. The only soap offered was a tiny piece. Breakfast was not edible. We tried the waffle batter and it was spoiled, the cream was too old and there were 4 pats of butter.

No air flow through it smalls musty. Dirty walls. The wallpaper was peeling off in most areas in the room as well as the bathroom. The bathroom faucet did not work. The only good thing was it was a bed and a unit worked.
