"A pleasant enough stay unfortunately the bar area closed at 8pm so we had to go out for a drink. I are there and did not really enjoy my chicken roast, which is unusual as it is one of my favourite meals. The worst thing was possibly the parking they advertise self parking which is in fact street parking. On a Sunday afternoon in this busy part of town there was no spaces to be found the car par.ks were full and no spaces on the streets at all"

"Lovely stay - big comfortable room, lots of spaces around the hotel and bar for lounging around on a rainy day, and right in the centre of Rye. Super friendly staff as well. "

"Staff went over and above to be helpful. Hotel was very old and quirky. Lots of character and charm. The broken radiator in my room was sorted out successfully. The toilet in the room did not flush terribly well and the shower low pressure. Lovely lounges to sit in and the restaurant was very attractive. We had a good breakfast."

"Very convenient location to rye town. Hotel was clean, staff were great…. Very friendly and helpful. Room was light and airy with comfy twin beds and plenty of tea, coffee, etc. Large on site free parking. Very good breakfast. We didn’t have a drink at the bar so can’t comment but it looked like it’d be well stocked."

"Great host and property!Great location close to beach. Limited cafe/supermarket options close by but very close to Rye with plenty of options. Little problem with the back deck being rotten and a foot going through it but a very sympathetic owner and sorted quickly."

"It was an excellent place to stay for two adults and 4 teenagers. Great location, nice and quiet, clean and a hot tub and fire pit for the evenings. We had a lovely time thank you!"
