Mountain Retreat w/ Views of Lake Pend Oreille

Perched on the hillside overlooking Lake Pend Oreille is a unique vacation destination like no other. Towering two levels high for a bird’s eye view of the Green Monarchs and Scotchman’s Peak, this two bedroom, two bathroom home can comfortably accommodate five guests. With so much to do in the surrounding area from mountain biking, hiking, boating to skiing, you can relax at the end of the day taking in the views from the large, second level deck or relax in the six person hot tub.
This newly constructed home is a mix of modern and nostalgic National Parks with clean, contemporary furnishings and cozy Pendleton blankets. Every detail has been well thought out from a well-stocked kitchen to board games & puzzles for every age. This home was designed after the traditional Fire Towers to take advantage of the views from every room.
The first level has a large entryway and washer/dryer tucked away in a closet. Both bedrooms are on the first level with a shared bathroom. Both bedrooms face the lake with a picturesque view from each room. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a Smart TV. The second bedroom has a queen over queen bunk bed. The shared bathroom has a large, tiled shower with seating area.
Continue upstairs to the second level and enjoy the incredible scenery which can be enjoyed for all seasons. Curl up on the couch in the private TV room or play games at the large dining room table with flexible seating at the kitchen peninsula. Prepare meals in the spacious, high-end kitchen or barbeque outside on the gas grill. When the stars come out at night, jump into the new hot tub.
Your family will enjoy this home and the nearby historic town of Sandpoint with its breweries, winery, restaurants, and shopping. If adventure is your game, drive 25 minutes to Schweitzer Mountain Resort for skiing in the winter or mountain biking in the summer or Silverwood Theme Park & Boulder Beach Park. This home is also closely located to Garfield Bay on Lake Pend Oreille and its public marina. Bring your boat and park the trailer in our driveway. There is plenty of space for parking up to 4 vehicles and a boat trailer.

Beautiful property! Views are stunning! We loved the attention to detail… fresh coffee beans to grind in the morning plus water already added to a keurig brewer if that was your preference. Robe’s provided for leisurely sits on the deck in mornings as we sip our freshly brewed coffee.. love love love! Nice variety of kitchen utensils and pans for use too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed. Can’t say enough good things

Epic sunrise view and comfy beds!

We loved staying here while skiing at Schweitzer ski resort. The hot tub was a perfect way to help those muscles after a long day of skiing, the beds were comfy, the house was clean and cozy and we loved the view of the lake and mountains. We would stay here again and will recommend to our friends as well!

Stunning Views, but Major Maintenance Issues

The views from this VRBO were absolutely breathtaking, but unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by some serious maintenance issues. The most unpleasant part was the overwhelming rotten egg smell, which permeated the entire property. It became clear that the water lacked proper filtration, and the odor lingered throughout our stay, making it hard to enjoy the space.Once we noticed that issue, other shortcomings stood out even more. The lack of rain gutters meant that the entrance was constantly dripping wet, and the hot tub area was also affected, with water dripping down even after I shoveled the patio above in an attempt to clear it. Speaking of shoveling, it was disappointing to arrive and find the patio covered in snow, despite no snowfall for four days prior to our stay. The property had clearly been plowed at some point but not before our arrival, making parking a slushy mess. For the price we paid—over 800 for two nights—these details should have been taken care of.This could be a fantastic rental with some basic improvements, but as it stands, the lack of maintenance made our stay frustrating. I hope the owners take these concerns seriously because the location and potential are there—just not the execution.But despite all these shortcoming the views and the privacy are amazing This keeps it constructiv

Beautiful Stay and Wonderful Accomodations

Great place to get away but close enough to enjoy a night out. Property was beautiful and clean, with an adorable little welcome basket. To our surpise there were robes in the closet and a firepit to use! For some reason however, the listing said there were 4 bathrooms but we only found 2. Overall, I cant wait to come back!

Excellent Home Base

Couldn't ask for more - warm home with ample space for exploring the broader Sandpoint area. We moved easily from the Tower to Schweitzer and back. The evenings (and mornings) were occupied by home cooking and card games. Would happily stay here again! Note that there are four separate beds, and we had a party of four guests. I think seven would be quite a squeeze.

Unplugged Retreat

Our stay was so relaxing, there truly are no details missed at this property. It is comfortable, the decor is tasteful yet minimal, the property is fully stocked with anything you could need, and the views are 10/10. I feel the road noise should be disclosed in the listing as there is a fair amount due to the proximity of main road traffic, but overall a perfect place to get away!

Great Escape

My husband and I are from CDA so just a quick 45 minute drive from this property. We knew it would be the perfect place to escape the city and the listing was more than we expected! The house is beautiful and the views are even better. Our daughter loved playing on the big wrap around deck and we enjoyed the sunsets over the lake every night! It was perfect for making our own meals - everything we needed was supplied. The main road is close to the house so there is some road noise and they do go fairly fast but the surrounding area still makes you feel like you are in the woods.

Worth it!

The property had every detail covered. Spare blankets and pillows in every room. Robes to use for the hot tub. Air conditioning. Along with the gorgeous views and quick drive to the beach. We will be back.

Sagle by the Bay

Everything was great. Perfect size for us. Good location. Wish there was more public space nearby but that is not an issue with the property itself. Loved the hot tub. Kids loved exploring and the views were great. Only feedback would be to find some cheap dressers so guests don’t have to keep clothes in suitcases or on the floor. A small thing overall and we would love to stay there again when we return to Northern Idaho
