"We had a very pleasant 4 night stay while visiting my son and family. The room was clean and the bedding comfortable. The free breakfast was the usual fare but good (real eggs, pastries/muffins, bagels, waffles, cereal, yogurt etc). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay here next visit to Watertown!"

"This hotel was in convient location . We needed a place to stay while family member was in hospital. Room was clean, beds very confortable . Only complaints, #1 doors were very loud when closed. So you heard them off/on three the night. #2 included breakfast was probably the most unappealing selection compared to most hotels"

"Our stay was wonderfully accommodating, from the lake views, cleanliness, and the comfortable beds, everything was thoughtfully put together. We appreciated the amenities such as fresh towels, shampoo and conditioner, a well-stocked kitchen with utensils, pots or pans, coffee, tea, and even seasonings galore! There was also an assortment of games and books. Since we were staying during the early spring of upstate NY, it was chilly, but we were so warm and cozy thanks to both propane fireplaces. We travel with our furry companion and it was evident from the pictures and a doggy dish that this place was for fellow pet lovers. The Lakehouse was so welcoming especially as our family remembered and celebrated the life of our mom/grandma who passed exactly a year ago to the date. We enjoyed the waves against the shore and captured all of the sunrises and sunsets. Thank you again to the hosts! We hope to stay again! "

"Location is as described on Lake Ontario, rural and very quiet. Listing has 3 bathrooms, however only 1 was operational and barely operational at that. This was communicated to the hosts and they sent someone out to check, the repairman informed us that the valves and tank would need to be replaced and that he couldn't do that, so our group of 12 was stuck with only one bathroom to use with barely any water pressure. Then on Thanksgiving night the living room entryway/ceiling began leaking profusely, there were high winds throughout out our stay, but not most precipitation so the leaking was just water from the lake being sprayed by the wind onto the roof. The host and vrbo were contacted about the leak, no one ever came to deal with it or communicated further about it. The lower level of the home has obvious water damage, the walls have the water line markings from flooding at some point, the closet moulding in the bunk room had visible mold, and pillows in the closet had visible mold. The home also had the tell tale smell of mold throughout that the cleaners had attempted to cover up with very strong fragrance and having left windows cracked open. Comforters on beds were dirty. There was also no broom or vacuum, we bought a broom and left it for future guests. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary items for cooking, you must supply your own water for drinking and likely cooking in my opinion too due to the well not having filtration. "
