"BEST PLACE WE'VE EVER STAYED!! Loeki was the most incredible hostess at this beautiful bed and breakfast. She thinks of every 5 star detail from mint water in the refrigerator to making the most delicious breakfasts including cappuccinos or hot herbal teas, fruit smoothies, delicious pancakes, french toast, omelettes, fresh delicious fruit breads, yogurt bowls with granola, and fresh fruit. Every breakfast was not only healthy abut also most generous in portion size. We skipped eating lunch most days and we'd just eat dinner. Loeki helped us plan our daily schedules with great suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The grounds are gorgeous and our Red Cottage was even better than expected. Loeki connected us with someone to transport us to and from the airport and rented us an electric car for close trips and a gas car if we were going farther. She made everything simple and hassle free. There was no rush to check out at a certain time and we left feeling like we had a new family member in her. I loved that we could walk to the saltpans with the owner's two dogs and see the flamingos. There was a wonderful pool on the property AND the red cottage that we stayed in also had a pool. Why stay at a resort with a hundred other people when you can stay at an intimate bread and breakfast with only a few others! It was a fantastic trip and we can't wait to visit again! "This place was outstanding and perfect for our group (2 adults and 4 adult children). The pool was very nice and Albertino (the host) and her husband were amazingly attentive, they even replaced the washing machine while we were there because the washer broke. The views are great and we often had parrots flying by throughout the day. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and the dining area is spectacular. The beds are super comfortable, the AC works great as do the showers. This area of the island was quite breezy, but it kept the mosquitoes off you. I would absolutely book again. The area of the island, Jan Thiel, is not quite centrally located so we did some driving to some of the further beaches, but it wasn't a problem. It is also a bit harder to find the unit for the first time but Albertine made it much easier. "

"My four friends and I stayed at this Jan Thiel property for an entire week for my 30th birthday day and it was great! The host, Judith, is extremely responsive through What’s App and on VRBO. She always communicated in a timely manner if we had any questions for her. She also put me in contact with a car rental service that literally dropped the car off at the airport to be ready for us when we landed and then we only had to leave it at the airport again when we left. Very convenient! There are 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms - a primary with one huge bed, and two smaller rooms with twin beds, and a queen so my friends and I had enough space! The property was very clean and close to so many things we did, including the center, Willemstad, and so many restaurants, shops, food trucks, and different beaches. The area felt very safe and even coming home late from bars or the club was fine. There’s a little construction in the neighborhood but it was never super loud or disturbing to me and my friends. Check-in and check-out was easy with the property manager. Just keep in mind that water and electricity are separate and you pay at the end of your stay with the PM, so any time we left the property we turned the air conditioning in the rooms off to limit usage. We also paid in cash (USD) for electric/water so also keep in mind to have some on you. Overall it was a great experience and would stay again! "
