"The condo was clean but smelled of disinfectant. The smell was so unpleasant that I had to keep the window open all the time. Although the window stayed open for the entire time, the smell remained. As soon as I stepped into this condo, I called the BEE management and asked for a different condo, but the person in charge claimed this could not be provided and refused to reimburse me. Since the rate was not refundable, I had to spend two nights in this condo. There were many problems: 1) The wardrobe: The broom, cleaning pot, and cleaning stuff were in the wardrobe where you were supposed to hang the coats. The second wardrobe could not be used because the rod was too high up. 2) The towels were of a cheap material and did not smell nicely. It was not pleasant to use them. 3) There was no hair dryer. 4) The owner left coffee but no coffee filter. So, I could not make coffee. 5) There was no sponge to clean dishes, no kitchen towel. In short. 6) The price: Another guest whom I met in the building paid half the price for a similar condo on a lower floor. 7) Misinformation: On the website, the owner claimed that the condo is on the top floor. It was on a high floor (10) but certainly not the top floor. 8) There was no café or restaurant in the immediate vicinity. 9) View: Across from the building, there is an ugly construction site. In short, my experience was negative. I do not recommend renting this condo."

"Apart from one young chap, the staff seemed little interested in their guests, particularly regarding breakfast, which was itself hugely disappointing. The rooms were average."

"The check in and check out instructions were not clear from the host. We had to reach out multiple times a day or two before the stay to ask for check in instructions and the actual location of the apartment. Check out instructions were given verbally by the person who greeted us at the apartment, and the host never reached out with actual instructions. The place is in a good location, and has a great view. The actual apartment itself was okay (couch was uncomfortable and in an awkward spot, the bed was super hard, the walls had poorly fixed holes), but it was good for the price and considering that we didn't spend much time there other to sleep."

"This is an amazing property managed by a stellar host! From the time of booking through to checkout, Jose was very responsive to all of my inquiries. He is professional and polite and very patient. This property is perfect and exactly as described and presented in the listing. The view is spectacular! Everything was clean and well appointed. It was very easy to find places to eat and grocery shop (word to the wise - use Waze not Google!) and it is not far at all from the museums and other city sites as well as Barrio Escalante where you can find dozens of restaurants. It is also not difficult to book day trips from here to some of the further out sites like beaches, volcanos, coffee plantations, rainforests, etc. which is what we did. The staff on site were also very cordial and the facilities appeared well maintained. We visited the pool but did not get in as it wasn't warm enough but the area around it was clean and well maintained. There was also a nice playground for younger children on the same level. I felt safe and comfortable staying here and would highly recommend booking this property for your next visit to Costa Rica. "
