Quiet comfortable mountain retreat, with Fast 500 mbps wifi

"My husband and I had a great overall experience! Cozy and quiet cabin in the woods. It was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of beds for a larger group as well. The king-sized bed in the main bedroom was nice; you usually only find queen-size and smaller in cabins like this.The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cooking implements, I was able to host my family for dinner.We initially rented the cabin because my sister lives in the area, but this location is good for hiking. Piney Falls, Rock Island State Park Ozone, Fall Creek and Virgin Falls are all nearby. Sweetwater and Kingston are within a 30-minute drive with Knoxville and Chattanooga TN about 60 minutes each. The Lost Sea Adventure in Sweetwater, Stone Mountain, Ruby Falls the zoo and aquarium in Chattanooga are all must see.My only issue was that after getting the "all fees included" price near the end of the booking process you find out that the owner requires you to buy insurance or give a large deposit which states there is no guarantee of return. The insurance was only relatively inexpensive, so it wasn't a deal breaker. I totally understand the owners need to be guaranteed payment if things are damaged, I just think it should be disclosed up front and not at the end of the booking process.We have already booked another week for Thanksgiving."

"Husband and I stayed there 1 night while traveling. Front desk staff were very nice. Room was comfortable and well maintained. There was a closet to hang your clothes. The bathroom had a blow dryer and enough towels. I don't know how the breakfast was, because we did not eat there. We would definitely stay here again."

"Really nice 3 night stay on the lake. Fun fishing off the dock and catching the last bit of summer rays. There is a room and bathroom on the main level with an outdoor deck. Other than that lots of steps down to the dock."

"We really needed a spot to get away for a few days, and this beautiful yurt really delivered! The wide open spaces, beautifully decorated interior, and comfy bed made our vacation relaxing and rejuvenating. My kids loved being able to roam about and look at all the animals. I’m pretty sure they were ready to start a farm of their own by the time we left! If we ever come back this way, we will definitely stay again!"

"We love Lake Haven!! My husband and I have been coming here for about 3years now and it just keeps getting better! Nice to see the improvements to the deck with new furniture as well. The most comfortable bed makes this place feel like our home away from home!"

"This is a GREAT property with a FANTASTIC host! My siblings and I (ranging in ages 56-65) get together once a year, and this year we selected this home for our reunion. We weren't disappointed.A few notes for those using this review to decide if this property is right for them:1. The house sits next door to the host's home, so if you're looking for a place without neighbors, this might not work for you. 2. The home has a giant back yard that abuts the lake. There is a large fire pit between the home and the lake. If you plan to use it, I recommend buying pre-split logs to burn.3. On the main floor, there are two bedrooms - one with a private bath. The remaining beds, including one private bedroom, are located downstairs. The stairs to the downstairs are VERY steep. If you have mobility issues, you can access the downstairs from outside.4. The kitchen, dining, and living room area is open concept - perfect for cooking and hanging out together.5. Decatur, with grocery shopping (Piggly Wiggly), bowling, etc. is about 20 minutes away. Mini-golf is in Athens, about 30 minutes away.6. The main t.v. is mounted over a fireplace, and so connecting HDMI (X-Box, laptop, etc.) can be a challenge for shorter people.7. The home is on a septic system, so no wet-wipes! 8. The large covered deck at the rear of the house is perfect for sitting and drinking coffee. There is lots of seating out there.9. We didn't use the pool or hot tub.Bottom line - a great place at a fair price!"
