"Lovely setting overlooking the ocean and a short walk to the beach. Great central location making it easy to get anywhere on the island in 15-60 minutes. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Staff were wonderful--friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again."

"Extremelly helpful staff,very kind and always ready to support. During our stay someone had stolen our goggles and towels and staff helped at least a little compensate. Also as we had an early flight we were on the island 9hrs prior to check in. Staff made our room available sooner as well we were able to buy breakfast that we didnt have originally arranged. The property is located in amazing Zen garden with pool, complete tranquility a privacy secured. It was a lovely stay."

"The location of the hotel was in the middle of Ponta Delgada which was very beneficial. The facilities in the hotel were very good. Service and food in the restaurant and bar were also very good. The room and its facilities was good too, our only whinge was the time taken for hot water to arrive after the tap was turned on. The staff were excellent and friendly."

"We really enjoyed the Rock Hostel. Our room was big and super clean and had a private bathroom. Internet worked great. The breakfast was amazing. We didn't use the pool but it looked fantastic as well. Definitely more of a hotel feel than a hostel. Highly recommend this place. "

"We chose this hotel/apartment because it has a fully stocked kitchen, beautiful location near the ocean, free parking, pleasant, and courteous staff and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and only 10–15 minutes car ride away. there is a supermarket about five minutes drive and a few bars and restaurants around. and on top of it, the daily price is reasonable."

"A beautiful hotel with top notch staff that strive to ensure one wants for nothing - or if you do want, just ask. Restaurants were great. The fantastic free breakfasts really adds to the value. "Great hotel and staff. No complaints other than a minor one at night somewhere in the area is very loud music till passed midnight and from room 305 you can hear it. Closing the patio door helps but then it gets stuffy. Other than that minor issue everything was wonderful. We used the vallet service to park and was well worth it. Free breakfast fantastic pool very nice"

"Beautiful historic building, great location where you can walk to everything. Easy to get in the main door and the suite. Nice amenities including the breakfast which was such a spread it was almost too much. Nice pool and outdoor area. Overall really nice!"
