"I’m so happy we chose to stay at Hotel Verde Mar. It’s a beautiful and modern hotel, the staff are so kind and helpful, the breakfast is delicious, it’s right by the ocean, and parking is free. They also have a separate towel service for going to thermal pools or swimming in the ocean which is convenient. The location is also so great, you can walk into Ribiera Grande for food, and there’s a grocery story 1 minute away. Also again the proximity to the ocean is so nice. The room is quite nice, our room had a balcony overlooking the ocean. I had been concerned about the bathroom having a window into the main room but there is a shade that can be drawn that fully covers it. When I come back to Sao Miguel I will definitely stay here again. "

"What a great spot if you want quiet and tranquility, the view was spectacular. Went for a nice walk in the morning along the bluff not a place to go if you do not have a car or don’t bring groceries with you. It’s a bit far out that is what I loved about it. "

"First of all, the location being close to the airport and in the middle of the island was perfect for our 5 day trip to Sao Miguel island. We rented a car and drove all over feeling like our home base was in a perfect spot. The owner, Victor, met us at the property when we arrived and told us all about it and showed us anything we needed to know about this cute little place. The size was perfect for two. It was private (although I didn’t realize from the picture in the listing that there was an identical house on the property as well. Victor has done a great job making them each feel private, though. We loved it here and would recommend it. "
