Having access to the main hotel and restaurants was ideal. The Palmoro house itself was clean however we easily heard guests in other rooms and the ac unit struggled to keep unit cool.

Perfect little family get-away

It was the perfect place for my daughter and I while we were in town to visit UCSB. Easy walk to the beach. Beautiful bike path and close to an ocean front restaurant. Cute little park for kids and restrooms at the beach.

Great place to stay

Fantastic stay as the upgraded us to the main hotel the Mar Monte, the room was clean, quiet, the staff was super nice. We got almond milk lattes and fresh fruit from the cafe and it was a breeze to stay there.

We were very pleased with the size of the room and the cleanliness. The staff was also very welcoming. Highly recommend the Italian Mojito from the pool bar - We can’t wait to return next year

Palmoro house is beautiful and dog friendly. 2 minute walk to the zoo and the Costa restaurant is fantastic. Its relatively easy to find street parking if you don't want to pay to park on property. Its a beautiful location to walk along the beach in the mornings. Very safe and peaceful.

We spent one night at the Palmoro house. The lights in the bathroom and sink area went out Sunday afternoon, and we called the front desk. They did not answer, and did not respond to the vm. We walked to the front desk at Mar Monte because we could not get the golf cart to get us. The lights came back on, but the next morning the lights went out again. Also, you can only watch the TV if you cast from your own device but the WiFi was too weak to successfully watch. The staff was great but stretched too thin. We did like access to the amenities at Mar Monte, but to get out of Palmoro house parking you had to get out of your car to press a button too far from the car. However the price was right, and the location close to the beach is excellent.

Palmoro House

Very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Palmoro House. A little quirky check in as the Palmoro House is about a block away from the check in location, Mar Monte Hotel. The staff was amazing, especially Danielle and Sean. The room was not huge but very nice. The bed was very super comfortable. Bathrooms have been tastefully remodeled! I would definitely stay there again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to my family and friends!

Must go to the main htel to check in. Good service at check in. Gated parking which is a +++. There were hair on the beddings. Coffee maker wasn't working. But overall stay was good.

Checkin went smoothly. Gentlemen at counter was pleasant. I knew this was an offsite property from a very upscale main hotel. This was definitely budget type. For $580 it still was not cheap or worth it. Hotel was $475, additional costs of resort fee and parking up the price. We never ended up going to main hotel or used any of the hotel services since we were there only 1 night. I would not stay there again. I rather pay that for an oceanfront smaller hotel.

Bad neighborhood Be Warned

The neighborhood is not good. We witnessed a man shaving n his car. We had to park at a paid parking lot because we did not trust the area Very litttlw cell phone reception in the area too. While we could use the amenities at the sister property, this one isn’t worth the price. Clean up the neighborhood

Never again.

We were not expecting to stay in a separate area than the main hotel. I paid a lot of money only to be on a back alley street by a park where homeless people smashed bottles and threw up by my car. It wasn’t a very safe feeling. When we got to the room the fridge was cold and the toilet paper holder was broken. The shower didn’t have any pressure and tub didn’t drain. We paid for a king and got two twins, maybe they were queens but it was not what we reserved. I wouldn’t ever stay here again. What a waste of money for the worst accommodations. Do better.

I really had high hopes for staying at Palmero House. I brought my handicapped mother who is wheelchair bound for a xmas getaway. Here were the highs and lows Highs Close to East beach Super clean rooms, quiet building, comfortable bed and accomodations Lows First we were given a non handicapped bathroom, but quickly changed to a different room with the appropriate bathroom access. Our heater was not working most of the night. The temperature in room wouldnt go above 69 degrees on a very cold night Called the front desk from the room and my cell phone. Their phone lines were down all night and part of the morning Palmero house is around the corner from the main Man Monte Hotel so u have to walk there to speak to the front desk or use any of the amenities. Before checkout, i requested fresh towels from house keeping. They never came I addressed several of the issues with the hotel front desk and manager. They blamed being short staffed the reason for all the mishaps.

The rooms are fairly decent. Hallway walls and carpet are very old. Wish they had an onsite reception area. Once you enter the hotel, only place you can sit is in your rooms. With family/big groups it would be nice to have an open/reception to socialize

Very friendly and gracious staff. The sister property is lovely. There is a significant construction project in the lot across the street which detracted from the charm of the neighborhood.
