Friendly check-in lady, bring us across street and showed us how to lock the back door etc. The room is huge and the location is super, one block from beach and two blocks from the pier. Highly recommended

Convenient location.

Nice no frills hotel near beach and state street. Less than a block to the beach and very close to train station and state street. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff if very limited but it didn’t impact my stay. I would stay here again.

The property is in need of repairs. All the staff were brand new and often difficult to reach. Helpful when available though. The outdoor area overlooking the beach was very nice.

The Villa Rosa is an absolute GEM of a property. The location couldn’t be better (right on the beach), the decor and appurtenances are unique and beautiful, breakfast, wine happy hour, clean and comfortable rooms, pool, jacuzzi, and walking distance from everything “Santa Barbara”. This is a property you will travel to again and again. Staff are all outstanding, and Melody at the front desk is super helpful, knowledgeable and professional. This is a property with so much charm, you may never leave! We’ll be back again!

The hotel is wonderful. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a little problem checking in. She was 30 min late, but trying to be helpful. I left a cash deposit. I was to pick it up at checkout, but no one was able to find my deposit. I had to wait and come back at 1:30 to pick up my cash deposit. Overall a great stay. I would defiantly come back.

Rooms are very outdated, no AC in the rooms so it’s hard to sleep at night. The location is good but the price to stay here is not worth it since you can find somewhere else close by that is much more updated and way better service

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. We came to celebrate a landmark birthday and we were not disappointed. The room was very clean an spacious, heater and AC. The old school plumbing was a challenge but as a California native, its common for the older buildings; definitely didnt take away from the beauty or experience. Almost everythis is walking distance feom the room; Jeannine's was like a 5 minutes walk and the food was quick and yummy. Tons of food places within a 5-10 minute walk anywhere; very quaint and quiet, fabulous view of the mountains and ocean... i would definitely recommend this for either a quick qet away or for a honeymoon. The decor was very unique, cozy and lovely Spanish style floors.

Property is within walking distance to the beach. We took a stroll at 830pm and the whole area feels very safe. A lot of great places to eat within just a few minutes walking. Property has great views of the ocean and pier. The rooms and Property feel like a "classy vintage". We would stay at this Property again. It's a great place.
