Sunny View Cottage in the Beautiful Wine Country

*We are finally back! Our son and family have moved into their new home after the 2017 Tubbs fire.

Freshly updated two bedroom cottage attached to the main house. Cottage includes full kitchen and bath, granite counter tops, tile and hardwood floors. Located in a quiet, country neighborhood with surrounding vineyards.

Stay inside and enjoy access to wireless internet, HD TVs, a cabinet of board games or let the kids go outside and play on the large lawns. Cottage includes full kitchen, dining, living room, bath with washer & dryer, master bedroom with king bed, guest room with king bed, queen sofa bed, keyless front door.

Full access to a beautifully landscaped property with more than fifty rose bushes.

Within less than 3.5 miles you will find 8 wineries as we are located in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley wine region.

- 15 min to Armstrong Woods – take a leisurely walk through majestic giant redwoods
- 20 min to Korbel Champagne Tasting Room
- 10 min to Kendall Jackson Winery
- 20 Min to Healdsburg and the Dry Creek Valley wine region and 45 minutes to Napa
- 22 miles to Bodega Bay’s sandy beaches and dunes
- Bicycle enthusiasts will find that the cottage is a perfect launching point for riding through the wine country as we are located just a mile off Levi Leipheimer’s King Ridge GranFondo route.
- At the edge of the property a pathway meanders through more than 100 acres of neighboring vineyards, perfect for an evening stroll, sit along the vineyard reservoir and watch the sunset. (sorry closed due to Covid-19)
- For an elegant meal you can make a reservation and head a minute down the road to the highly rated Walter Hansel Wine & Bistro, the Barlow in Sebastopol is great for restaurants, wine tasting and outdoor shops or for a casual meal head a few minutes into town for a Taqueria or maybe stop at Simply Vietnam.

Wonderful place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The cottage is located just out of town so it’s quiet and peaceful with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It nestled right up next to a Vineyard. Everything was perfect.

Quiet beautiful home

Enjoyed the location being near everything we were doing. Quiet and away from busy roads and traffic. Easy to get around to buy groceries, get gas and restaurants. Clean and nice setup inside and out.

Country Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage for a girls' getaway! It was comfortable and quiet, and perfect for our needs. The only hiccup was a power/water outage for a few hours our first night, which was completely beyond anyone's control. When I texted the owners to report it, they responded immediately and followed up with PG&E.We can't wait to go back!

Very Nice Accommodations

We were a group of 5: 2 Adults and 3 Children (ages 8,6,2). We had plenty of room. The apartment is nicely furnished. Beds are very comfortable. Quiet street. Centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go. We enjoyed our stay!

A week in the country

Great country property To get away from the city life but close to grocery store. Easy access to the area. Would caution anyone needing to work, The internet can be limited in the evening, whenever everyone is home A great trip I would definitely stay again.

A beautiful location, centrally located in Sonoma Wine Country

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Sunny View Cottage and we’ll be back to stay every time we are in stunning Sonoma County. The cottage is perfectly appointed with a large chef’s kitchen, all the dishes and kitchenware you’d need and lovely, comfortable bedrooms to make you feel at home. We really enjoyed gazing at the stars at night from the cottage and the beautiful sunsets too. And the cottage is central to just about everything - Healdsburg, Windsor, Sonoma County Airport, Sebastopol, Petaluma and more!

Lovely Cottage in the Country

My husband and I truly enjoyed staying at Sunny Cottage. It was Spacious, clean, lots of amenities including a huge clothes washer and dryer. Thanks Lynn and Roger! :-) The cottage location is in the country side surrounded by greenery. Easy access to Healdsburg where we spent a lot of time at tastings and restaurants. We also drove to The Barlow which offered an array of more eats and retail. It rained a lot, so, we’ll be back when the sun is shining!

Sonoma Home

The house was very nice and in a quiet neighbourhood and though it felt you were in the countryside you were in fact only a short distance from everything. This may sound very trivial but in the photograph of the kitchen there was a tea pot and a kettle neither which was there, the kettle was listed on the description of the kitchen equipment. We are English so tend to drink more tea than coffee so a kettle would have been nice but we managed any way. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Of all the things we did our favourite was a visit to Armstrong Woods which is not too far away.

Comfortable Cottage

I lived in Sonoma Co for years several years ago and have returned many times. I found this neighborhood, in a great location, new to me though I have driven by. It's a neighborhood of ranchettes and the No Outlet road makes for a nice walk. The facilities were comfortable and clean. We were very happy with it. We did have some trouble checking in because of very weak signals (had to drive back to starbucks to get internet). VRBO confessed they were having trouble at the time, though I would recommend downloading any available msgs prior to getting to the house. Internet in the house was fine. Thanks for having us!

Excellent stay

We have been coming to the area for several years when we come to visit our son. This was the best rental we have stayed in. Very comfortable accommodations and great location. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, as was the bathroom. Beautiful, quiet location, yet near shopping, and all the area has to offer. We will be back!

A great place to acclimatise after 8 hour time change

This is a lovely homely place with all amenities that we needed to get over the 8 hour time change from the UK and prepare ourselves for our 4000 mile road trip to Canada and back over the next 4 weeks. We stayed here 2 years ago to do exactly the same thing and had no hesitation in coming back again.
