A lovely hotel. All staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect- right next to a beautiful beach- we went early morning because it does get busy- 5 minute walk from a large selection of restaurants, bars and shops and a 15 minute walk from the marina. Breakfast buffet selection was very good and on-site activities were varied and well run by enthusiastic staff. The pool bar serves an excellent choice of lunch options and drinks. We had a lovely stay and would very happily visit again. Thank you 😊

Good: The hotel’s location was fantastic—just a few minutes’ walk to the main centre. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made our stay feel very welcoming. Bad: While there were plenty of sunbeds in the garden area, the ones around the pool were very limited and tightly packed, meaning guests were lined up closely together with little space. Additionally, we were only given one pool towel each on arrival, and swapping for a fresh towel cost €1 per towel. For two people staying a week, that’s an extra €12, which felt unreasonable considering the overall cost of the accommodation. I’ve never had to pay for pool towels before, so this was disappointing.

I found this hotel to be very tired and in need of a lot of work. The day I arrived the only elevator they had was broken, 2 days later when I was leaving, it was still broken. My room smelled of mold which was very concerning, I spoke with the guys at reception and they gave me another room on a higher floor which was better (first time I have ever asked a hotel for a room change, so it was that bad). The hotel was dark and dingy and not very clean. The breakfast buffet was average, nothing special. The staff were kind and helpful and the location as great. However, it was hardly a 2 star in my opinion. I couldn't wait to leave.

Excellent Holiday.

My week's stay at the Hotel Rocador was superb. Location was perfect, situated at the side of the beach and just minutes away from the main shopping/restaurant area. All the staff, including reception, restaurant and cleaning were genuinely very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my booking (my fault, not the hotel's) and the reception staff were wonderful, they persevered until the problem was solved and it was done not because they felt they had to but because they wanted to make my holiday more enjoyable. It was my daughter's birthday while we were there and a bottle of wine was delivered to her room even though we hadn't mentioned her birthday to anyone - this is systematic of the kind of customer satisfaction they aspire to throughout the hotel. The food at the hotel was some of the nicest I have ever had in over 30 years of holiday travelling and there was always a friendly reception when entering the restaurant. The rooms were well appointed and cleaned carefully everyday. Overall, I could not find fault with anyone or anything and plan to return next year as I know I will not be disappointed in any way.

Very nice staff and location but only okay hotel

The hotel has a unique location, leading straight to a lovely Cala. The staff in the hotel, especially Jose and his team in the restaurant are amazing, always polite and kind. However, the hotel is definitely lacking in terms of the basic aspects you would expect based on what you pay; the rooms could use an effort in renewal, the shower and the sink were clogged so it constantly took a while for water to pass. The television was not working properly and we had to ask two times for someone to fix it and they only fixed it on the third day. The rooms have very few amenities, just soap for the sink and the shower, and for the price paid, one would expect others like shampoo, shower cap, etc. There were some days when the room was not cleaned until past 3pm while on other they came in before 8:30. Although it's understandable that it's not yet high season, they should be prepared for receiving and catering to guests. Also, the information on hotels.com says that there is a computer room so we didn't take our laptops but when asking at reception we were told that there wasn't one. There was also a pipe draining into the terrace of our room, both water and sand. It would be important to specify that during low season they only open the main restaurant and not the other ones publicized. They also try to charge you for everything, they say you can exchange pool towels but if you want to, they charge you 1EUR. Drinks are also not included in the half-board option.

Direct access to the beach , which is the main reason we stay here. But the room is dated , A/C is not cooled and we feel hot in the room during summer. Price is too expensive for the room.

This was a short break prior to heading to Arenal to go sailing. I really wish i could have stayed longer. Everything was great, the staff, the room, the restaurant. Lots of choice from the buffet and the a la carte was excellent. Will definitely be returning for a longer stay

2nd visit to this hotel. Centrally located, so beach, shops, restaurants and bars on the doorstep and within a 5 min walk. Check in fast and efficient. We had a standard room which was spacious, clean and modern. Comfortable bed and air con worked well. Maid service was excellent. We always found sunbeds. We preferred to sunbathe on the grassed chill out area to the side of the hotel and above the access to the beach. Although we had breakfast included, we never took up the option. In summary, an excellent hotel that is perfect for adult couples. Highly recommend and would return again. Top tip. If you love a good pizza, the restaurant directly opposite the hotel is amazing.
