If you're flying into Chile, you'll arrive at Santiago de Chile Airport (SCL), officially called Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport or “Pudahuel Airport.” Once there, you'll need to find your way from the airport to the city center.
Getting from the airport to downtown takes about 30 to 45 minutes by bus, depending on traffic. You have two bus companies servicing Santiago de Chile Airport: Turbus and Centropuerto.
Turbus and Centropuerto schedules:
Between 6 AM and 11:30 PM, buses from both companies run every 10 minutes, and during the early morning, buses leave every hour. A one-way ticket costs around CLP, and a round trip CLP (about 2.40 euros and 4.20 euros respectively). The difference between Centropuerto and Turbus is the route, so you should choose based on your destination in downtown Santiago.
Centropuerto travels between Santiago Airport and the Los Héroes Metro Station (Central Square) in downtown. Along the way, it stops at Metro Barrancas, Metro Terminal Pajaritos, Metro Las Rejas, Metro San Alberto Hurtado, Metro Universidad de Santiago, Metro Estación Central, Metro Unión Latinoamericana, and Metro República (after 9 PM).
To use the regular city buses or metro, you need a prepaid card called Bip!, but it’s not necessary to get from the airport to downtown. You can buy your ticket at the counters of the companies or when you board the bus. Without a doubt, the bus is not the most comfortable option but it's the cheapest way to reach downtown Santiago from the airport.
The common areas are not open to all guests as there isn't enough staff to ensure access for everyone. For now, these spaces are available only for rental contracts longer than 6 months (Gym, Game Room, Cinema Room).
