The Apanemo hotel was on the quieter south side of the island. The view of the Caldera from our room was spectacular. The staff was extremely friendly and the included breakfast was delicious with many choices available. Don’t miss the ruins and the beach at Akroteri which are close by. There’s a boat service at the beach for €15 round-trip per person that will take you to the white beach, the red beach and the black beach and you can get out and swim and rent loungers and umbrellas for five euros per person and they will come back every hour or so to pick you up. We preferred the white beach because it had a sandy . We also rented a car for €50 a day and made our way easily around the whole island using navigation on our phone.

The views were to die for. Breakfast was fantastic with wonderful service. We were able to order off a menu the night before. They drove us into the town, Akrotiri any time. Very short drive. There are about 4 restaurants, a market, a couple shops and the bus stop. Bus goes to Fira, etc for 2 euro.

Fabulous hotel, amazing views and staff

Ignore the star rating, this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We selected the hotel based on the quality of the reviews and they are all justified. It is a beautiful hotel perched on the hillside over looking the Caldera and the whole island. The view is stunning. The hotel has great staff who are extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms are comfortable, well equipped and from what we could see all have amazing views. It is not for those who want to be in the ‘thick of it’, although it is an oasis of calm compared to overcrowded tourist hotspots of Fira and Oia. The staff will take you by car (and pick you up) to local restaurants, although it is only a 15 minute picturesque walk to the centre Akrotiri (although is a bit of climb on the way back). Brilliant hotel we will come back, thank you for a wonderful stay.

I had a very unpleasant stay at your hotel, and I must say it was the worst accommodation I have ever experienced. I will never stay here again. The bathroom and toilet had no ventilation, were full of mold, and smelled terrible. The pool was slimy with moss, making it unhygienic and unpleasant to use. There were no slippers provided among the amenities. The staff’s attitude was also unacceptable. After I refused to join the cruise tour you were promoting, the staff became extremely rude and even ignored me at times. The damp sheets made it difficult to sleep, and although I had hoped for proper cleaning service, the room was hardly cleaned at all. Only the towels and water were replenished, which was extremely disappointing. Overall, this was an unacceptable experience, and I strongly urge you to improve your facilities and staff training.

We just honeymooned in Santorini, and Apanemo absolutely blew us away. The service, guidance, staff, and views were nothing short of phenomenal. The peaceful and quiet atmosphere made for the most relaxing vacation. Not being too close to the heavily touristy areas made this getaway private and peaceful. Hotel é bacana, mas esperava mais. Suites com piscina particular onde ficamos são afastadas do hotel principal e localização delas decepcionou um pouco pela redondeza. Ao nosso lado tinha terreno baldio com criação de galinhas ao lado. Pelo custo benefício, não compensou a suíte com Piscina privativa. Café da manhã muito bom, quarto bom, apenas travesseiros pouco confortáveis. Equipe super prestativa.
