It is a small mom & pop hotel, however the staff is very friendly. They have a tram that takes you to the square and picks you up, and a wonderful breakfast. Overall a cozy spot away from all the chaos of the city and intertwines you in the local community.

I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment The rooms were basic but all I needed What made this place special was the staff they made you feel like family like a community? Most of the staff are a community. They live nearby. They told me about their lives We had a shared experience The pool bar food was very good The breakfast excellent and such good value Honestly, I never have breakfast at the hotels A breakfast at Porto Castello is a worthwhile exception Drink prices to be honest were cheap Shuffle five or six times a day each way to the city What more could you ask for? I will be back again but this time with my family. I've been to a lot of places, but I will never forget this the Porto Castello

The family who runs the hotel is welcoming and available 24 hours. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the bus transportation depot that takes you to the famous town of Oia to watch the sunset. The only concern is that you have to follow the hotel shuttle schedule that runs every three hours, requiring that you plan accordingly since it is a distance from Fira which is not walking distance.

The staff at Porto Castello was excellent and very friendly and helpful. It’s a small hotel but was clean and provided everything we needed. The free shuttle service to and from Fira was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again. If quaint cozy and comfortable is what you’re looking for this is it… very budget friendly as well!!

I had a good stay at Porto Castello Hotel in Santorini and would recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly place in a convenient location. The room was clean, although it looked a bit dated. There was also a strong fresh paint smell that was a little overpowering during our stay. One suggestion I have is for the hotel to use fitted sheets. While the mattress itself was clean, it only had a flat sheet over it, which kept sliding off throughout the night. We constantly had to pull it back into place so we wouldn’t end up sleeping on the bare mattress. The room included a mini fridge and a small private patio with chairs, which was a nice spot to relax and enjoy lunch or dinner. The pool was excellent and very clean during summer but it’s quite deep, so families with young children who can’t swim should keep that in mind. The highlight of our stay was the older gentleman at the reception. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He helped us order food around 10:00 p.m. when most places were closing, and he also arranged a private island tour with transportation for just €50, which was much cheaper than the prices we found online. The location is convenient, about 10 minutes from the airport, and the hotel offers airport transfers for €25, making arrival and departure very easy. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we enjoyed our stay. The helpful staff, clean rooms, nice pool, and good value make Porto Castello Hotel a place I would recommend.

Stayed here overnight during a layover. Staff was super friendly and nice. Shuttle to ferry port/airport is very convenient. Unfortunately, our room reeked of cigarette smoke which I found to be overwhelming.

I had a pleasure to stay in Porto Castello September 18-21. In my opinion : good location , near the beach , good size swimming pool, spacious facilities in comparison with Fira’s accommodations , peaceful and quiet place. We could hear the sea waves from our balcony at night. We love the free transportation to and from the hotel to Fira daily. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good but not very accessible

This hotel is good for people who are looking for a place to relax onsite and not do much sightseeing. The room was great but the hotel needs some upgrades. The reception area is gloomy. This hotel is not accessible by public transit but there is a free shuttle service that takes you from the hotel to Fira 4 or 5 times a day. Close to a beach.
