Absolutely Awful - Stay Away from
Sophia Luxury Suites
Our experience at Sophia Luxury Suites was hands down the worst we've ever had at any so-called "luxury" hotel - and that's saying something. From the moment we arrived, it was a disaster.
First, we were placed in the wrong room - not what we had booked or paid for. When we brought it up with the staff, they were dismissive and offered no real solution.
Strike one. They played it off as it was an upgrade when it didn’t have any views of the caldera and had a shared terrace with two other rooms.
Next, we discovered that our room had not even a full roll of toilet paper. That's not just inconvenient - it's completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that pretends to be a four-star luxury property.
The customer service was absolutely atrocious. The staff were unhelpful, unresponsive, and often not even present.
We had confirmed in advance that someone would help carry our bags upon departure (which is important, especially given the many stairs on the property), but when we called in the morning, no one answered. We had to haul everything ourselves - again, not what you expect from a place calling itself"luxury."
This place is all style and no substance - completely misrepresented online. The lack of professionalism, attention to detail, and basic hospitality makes it clear they're only interested in cashing in on Santorini's popularity, not actually providing a quality experience.
Avoid at all costs!
