Close proximity to Juno Beach and the other D-Day beachs made Le Mas Normandy a perfect choice for us. "We loved our stay at Hotel St. Patrice! This historic building has a lot of character and the owners are lovely and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious and quiet and the bed was comfortable. It’s is well located near many restaurants and attractions in the lovely little town of Bayeux. We did the breakfast one of the mornings and it was delicious and a good value. Only thing to be aware of is they close from 12-4 each day. Unfortunately we arrived just after noon and had to carry our bags...

"I understand the language issues, but when we checked in I was trying to say that we were very thirsty and was there a place to get drinks. I finally understood that there were water bottles and a water spigot nearby. But there was also a refrigerator close that I discovered later which is what I really was asking about. The room was very clean in general, but the couch had several visible stains. I mean, like very visible stains...... For the price paid, I would have expected a clean...

"The Chateau is very charming and quaint. The rooms don’t offer air conditioning but they provided fans. Initially the fan we had was blowing heat and the staff couldn’t locate a different one for us so we saw them assembling something at registration and when we returned to our room later there was a brand new, better fan waiting for us. It was much appreciated given the heat wave. The mattresses are hard and lumpy. The location is fantastic! It was a great late afternoon when we could sit in...

"The place is very basic and comfortable. The room was very clean. We weren't able to adjust the temperature in the room which we would have liked. We did all at the desk but it's possible that language differences made our request useless. It's a great base for Normandy sightseeing."

"Le Castel is situated in a great spot to get to if you arrive by train to Bayeux. It is only about 10min . It is located to Vieux Centre ville/ downtown , steps to the Bayeux Cathedral and restaurants. While location was great- our room needed better ventilation ( it was musty smelling) and the carpeting was quite soiled. The room needed updating overall. Our TV did not work, there is no mini fridge and no shampoo/conditioner. Also note- there is no air conditioning. It does have some charm...

"Reception staff we so helpful… attentive and actually concerned about helping us with any question or concerns we expressed! Room was spacious and very clean. Views from the hotel (room/restaurant) were spectacular. Meals in the restaurant were delicious and wait staff very helpful and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again in a heart beat!"
