"We planned a six day visit to 'rest' after a month of intense travel - but left after two days. Most of our disappointment was with Sarande itself - a very poorly developed resort town, with buildings on top of one another, rocky local beaches, a shocking amount of litter Everywhere, and a generally exhausted air to everyone we met there. Neither restful nor beautiful. We hightailed it back to Corfu and unfortunately had to 'eat' about $800 in hotel expenses we couldn't get reimbursed. The hotel itself is a very pretty property, with very nice rooms and surroundings. The manager on duty was excellent, addressing a couple of minor complaints immediately, and following up with us several times. The pool is beautiful. The season felt 'finished,' however, by mid-October, and even though it was beautiful weather there were no beach chairs set up, the beach bar was closed, etc. Also .... a friend booked and paid for a room there to join us, and 30 minutes later I told her we were leaving - yet she couldn't get a refund. Hotels blame Expedia but this is false - they can easily refund bookings, and they should have in this case. "

"The room was great, lots of space and balcony was fabulous. The sea view wasn’t quite what shows in pictures. We know it’s end of summer but hotel advertises restaurant open for breakfast lunch and dinner along with beach bar. Only breakfast served. Everything else rolled up. I would have appreciated notes on hotel indicating they shut down restaurant and bar at end of season. I book places based on location and amenities. The breakfast was good selection but cold because they don’t use anything to keep food warm. By end of stay the tomatoes and cucumbers had been put out so many times they were shriveled up and pretty sure coffee was not made fresh daily. Not sure I would stay here again in season. "

"The location is busy with people going to the Ferry or coming from the Ferry non stop. There is no exterior door so not only it is noisy, it also does not feel safe. We booked this place because it was advertised as a hotel. It turns out it is an apartment right next to the Ferry station. Considering the price it is expensive for an apartment. We checked out early because the place was underwhelming and moved to a hotel that was $50 less a night, next to a phenomenal beach and had an amazing breakfast. This place has neither breakfast nor a nice beach As it is an apartment that sleeps 4 it also attracts more of the party crowd. The guys next to us partied all night and drunk heavy. The beach that is advertised is awful. Dirty and very short. We talked to some locals and they told us the locals don’t go there. We tried to talk to the host about the misunderstanding regarding the false advertisement as a hotel and the location but she could not care less. The apartment itself is clean and the location is convenient if you have to go to the Ferry the next day. However at that price there are dozens of better options in Sarande or Ksamil. "

"We came originally for a friend’s wedding in Tirana, but decided to do a little vacation for ourselves, since we came to Albania. The drive was spectacular, Albania and the roads scenery are absolutely gorgeous. However since it’s our first time in Albania we noticed that a lot of buildings were unfinished throughout the country. We were pleasantly surprised that Sarande Palace was an exception, the building is situated towards the end of the boulevard which gives the most beautiful sunset view and quietness, as the busy section of Sarande is very noisy. Ory - the receptionist went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant and perfect. She seriously runs the place and cares for the service they provide to guests. Ory gave us tips and recommendations for pretty much anything we asked, she even offered laundry and dry cleaning services if needed. The pool was clean and big, they have plenty of beds and cabanas available for guests in the beach area. The restaurant and the bars provided very good food and cocktails. The service was on a high level and the prices were competitive. The view from room balcony was spectacular. The rooms were clean, updated and thoughtfully furnished. If you are going to Sarande book this hotel, it’s worth every penny and you would have an amazing time and beautiful memories. Five stars hands down. Thank you, Ory and Sarande Palace team. "
