Talk about a disappointment. This hotel has a great upscale look when you pull up to the property, but that’s the highlight. I don’t know if it’s in the middle of a transition to a Marriott Bonvoy property, but it’s one of the most poorly run hotel in this class that I’ve ever stayed at.
My husband and I were celebrating a milestone anniversary and Saratoga was one stop on a road trip. A chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot was waiting in our room upon check-in without a note or a hint who it was from. It was from our daughter and son, nd even though our daughter dictated a note to be enclosed, there was non.
Our Tv didn’t work th two nights we were there. We were told there was no technician on hand to even take a look. A front desk woman came to ou room, but didn’t really have the skills to get it up and running.
The pool was also a disappointment. I conveniently located it mess small and awkward and didn’t have the sumptuous resort feeling I would have thought at a property that was so impressive upon arrival. It was also clear there was no one attending. At the pool either. The sauna was under repair and there were used towels strewn everywhere. Later that day I couldn’t find my phone and I remembered the last time I had it was at the pool. The fact that it was still lying on the pool deck later that night was further proof no staff bothered to attend to the pool after closing hours.
Even the restaurant was poorly run when we tried it for dessert.A big miss overall.
Very good experience. One thing that was lacking which most hotels offer was free coffee and tea area for guests. That suprised me,otherwise everything else was good....
The property is newly renovated and beautiful. The staff at the front desk were super helpful and engaging. The bartender made the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. Great location for attending events at SPAC.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I was in the area for a concert at SPAC, closeness was great. The staff were helpful and welcoming . Our room was very clean, comfortable & spacious. The pool was disappointing , it was very cold and it was a high 78 sunny day, but the staff said when I called inquire , “it was a heated pool”, it was freezing! So I went to use the outside sauna to warm up, and it was locked and not in service, no note or explanation . The restaurant and bar were nice. I’m surprised the Arbor Spa is inside the pool building, I would not get your hopes up that it is anything special. I would recommend this hotel again but the Annette’s need to be maintained, especially since I was charged an additional $30 a day to use amenities
Make sure to ask the reception desk all the amnesties included in your stay. They did not tell us about the free breakfast and bicycle rides and later charged a fee on the card.
Great Hotel and location just 3 short miles outside of Saratoga Springs. Our room was fabulous with a wonderful shower however there was no iron and the fridge did not work. Other than that a great experience and if I got the same great price I would be back.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I was a huge fan of Brookmere and I will go back. However, I was quite sad to see every trip resulted in more issues than the last. I suspect the hotel is very thinly staffed because the issues stemmed from lack of care rather than poor facilities.
e.g. Housekeeping would clean the bathroom but leave all the hair on the floor, repeatedly. The cleaning was very much at eye level only. It was not great to check in to a hotel room and notice other people’s hair on the bathroom floor. The next day, my hair stayed on the bathroom floor.
e.g. Phones do not work. TVs do not work. I asked to reset the TVs in my room (there were 2 in that room type), they reset one.
This hotel is very nice and would have had a 5 star review except the Friday night bartender gave us the bums rush out of the lounge at about 10pm. It was also immediately after selling us two $22 glasses of wine. He turned the TVs off on us.

Excess resort fee. Could not use. Higher than what was purchased on Expedia. Misleading. Despite complaints management did not adequately address.
