We needed a place to stay nearby my children's camp site. We only needed the hotel to sleep at night so we were not picky. But, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the rooms were considering it's a College dorm. Very clean, spacious, roomy and we slept so well! Thank you for offering such good value for the money. We will be back for sure, next year when the kid's camp will take place.

Disliked: Amenities
There were minor repair issues, such as torn wall paper and poor caulking arojnd sink. Also inside door handle came off and the breaker tripped on outlets. Staff said we had to wait until monday for maintenance to look at them. Also had a hadd time from one front desk person to get toilet paper refill. Night front desk staffer had a grumpy attitude and not very helpful. Day staffer was very nice though. I would still rent a room because of price.

Old Hotel now a Dorm for the Local College. Few know this used to be a hotel. The place is very old, and everything is in bad shape. Beds are poor quality. The poor is very loud. The a/c works terrible. Only staff if the money savings are needed.

It should be made clear on Expedia that this property is a student residence during Lambton College classes & is rented out during the off season. It is not a hotel & therefore doesn't have the same amenities including no TV in the rooms!

Ideal location, close to downtown. Plenty of free parking, fully stocked game room. Of course, the place is a dorm, so not the cleanest place you can find. But for its price, definitely worth it.

The facility is a college residence during the year and provides inexpensive lodging during the summer. The problem I had as a short person is that the beds are very, very high so that students can store their gear under them. I asked the front desk for a stool and they did not have any. I was able to take a flat chair ( the desk chairs in the room were partial rockers) from the game and was this able to climb into bed. In the morning when we checked out we were told that some rooms have lower beds. They should have looked at me and my husband when we checked in and offered us one of those rooms. And they should have a couple of step stools on hand at the front desk.
