"Breakfast was great. We had ordered ala carte dinner and all items were very delicious. Staff was very respectful and friendly. The coffee shop had amazing tea and coffee. We didn’t venture out there for shops so can’t say anything about other nearby shopping stores. Rooms were spacious and clean. They had a common room to use with sofa etc. Loved the stay in this ryokan."

"This was my first time in Arima and also my first time staying in a traditional Japanese-style room at a ryokan. I had stayed at a different ryokan the night before in a Western-style room, so this stay was a completely new experience. The staff and service were wonderful, and the location of the ryokan was very scenic. I had not included dinner in my booking, but I wish I had. I did rent the private onsen for 45 minutes and was able to enjoy the relaxing effects of Arima’s famous gold and silver waters. The tatami-style room was charming and comfortable, and I would love to return in the future and bring friends with me. Breakfast the next morning, with everyone wearing yukatas, made the experience even more memorable."

"This is a traditional ryokan with onsen facilities, and we chose the half-board option. The kaiseki dinner was excellent—beautifully presented and far more food than anyone could realistically finish. Breakfast was also outstanding, with the choice of either a Japanese or Western-style meal. The resort is slightly removed from the main tourist area of Arashiyama, located across the river and close to one of the train stations, though not the most central lines. This does make it feel quieter, but also means a bit more travel if you're exploring the area. The staff were wonderful—warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. The onsen facilities were extremely relaxing and perfect after a full day of hiking. Overall, a classic ryokan experience with exceptional meals and hospitality."
