The Townhouse is set inside a historical converted church in the centre of the old town. Perfectly positioned between both bays, with the iconic castle perched in between. There is also the benefit of your own designated parking space nearby, which is a big bonus in such a popular destination.
The apartment is set over three floors, and has been beautifully furnished with a contemporary twist, there are some quirky pieces of furniture as well as limited edition prints which add a splash of colour and interest to each room and are sure to make you smile.
On the ground floor you have the modern kitchen, which is well equipped with additional extras such as a Tassimo coffee machine with pods as well as a Brita water filter, to ensure you have all your home comforts. There is a separate dining room in a stylish wood panelled room, ideal for spending evenings planning the events for the days ahead over hearty home cooked meals. You also have the convenience of a toilet on this floor. Upstairs on the first floor you have the lounge, with comfortable seating on the three-piece suite around the TV. There is also the first bedroom which has a king bed, plus a family bathroom with a rainforest shower over the bath. Up on the second floor you have a twin bedroom as well as the master four poster king bedroom. The master bedroom boasts a stunning vaulted beamed ceiling with the arched church windows bathing the room in light, it really evokes the buildings past. This grand building was once the Pentecostal Church, with quite a complex history dating all the way back to 1703 where there are the first records of a church on this site, over time it was extended and redeveloped, evolving over the years until 1868 where it was completely transformed into the building you can see today. In 2008 the church was converted into apartments whilst still retaining its appealing external appearance as well as some beautiful original features internally. The Townhouse was extensively refurnished in 2022 to welcome guests on an exceptional stay on the Yorkshire Coast.
The South Bay is less than 200 yards away, Scarborough is a traditional seaside resort that consists of two bays with a long, flat marine drive which is great for that stroll along the front. The castle stands majestically, perched on the hill, separating the two bays. Here in the centre of Scarborough, there are an array of shops to browse, as well as a wide selection of restaurants, cafés and bars to enjoy.
Attractions in Scarborough include the Alpamare water park and spa where you can relax in a glass fronted sauna with views out to sea, or swim in steaming hot pools out in the open air, there is also the Sea Life centre with a seal rescue, Peasolm Oriental Park with paddleboats and one of Europes largest open-air theatres.
