Simply Sailing - A Cottage In The Trees

Simply Sailing is a quaint one bedroom, one bath cottage that sleeps four, located at Barren River Lake. The home has everything you need for your stay. Basic cooking utensils, a charcoal grill, TV with DVD player with movies and board games are there for the perfect family vacation. We have recently added a smart TV to the bedroom. A drive thru car port makes it very easy to protect your boat or whatever you are pulling. The car port is also has a RV plug. We do welcome "small" family pets ($75 non-refundable fee) "Free Wi-Fi"

Self Check-In With Lock Box Place all dirty linens and towels on the floor in front of the washer and dryer Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher
Only one (1) family pet allowed per stay with acceptable $100 pet deposit. Additional $100 fine will be billed if a pet is not disclosed.
No smoking in the cottage or on the decks. A $200 fine will be implemented if anyone smokes in the home or on the deck.

Wonderful cabin in the woods

Super clean cabin in the woods with all modern conveniences. Close to a small beach, lakeside walking trail and good pizza. A perfect getaway for couples. Would highly recommend this cabin!

Gorgeous rental

We loved every minute of our stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Tim and Shannon were great at getting back to me with any issues. But we did not have any issues , it was really just questions. We had to extend our stay by 4 days and they were so accommodating. We will be back sometime and this is where we will rent again.

Perfect Getaway Stay

This place is in a great location for those who want to explore and do outdoor activities. There is plenty to do within a 30 mile drive, which is beautiful in any direction. We enjoyed our time in Bowling Green, and the areas in and around Mammoth Cave. This home has a stocked kitchen (minus spray oil), plenty of towels, and laundry machines were a plus! They also provided a small bowl of snacks. The only issue we had was the driveway is a bit steep for a super car! :-)

Perfect getaway location

Me my wife and 1 year old daughter absolutely loved our stay here. We were in the perfect location to hit Nashville for a day, side by sides another, Mammoth cave, and not even enough time to hit the local fishing. Tucked into the woods was an ideal spot for our getaway while being near so many awesome spots. Being from Michigan and enjoying the local Kentucky countryside was a definite plus. Even happened to run into the owners and they were super nice and accommodating. Would 100% recommend this location to anyone looking for a fun getaway. Although we didn't spend much daylight at our place, the porch and sun room elevated our stay that much more. Was sad to leave.

Amazing Cabin & Bring along your Small Boat!

We LOVED our stay at this little cabin near Barren River lake! Super clean & inviting, comfy bed, great shower & everything we needed - we esp loved eating out on the sun porch! The best part? SO convenient traveling with our 15’ deck boat. Easy pull through & enough cover for our Wrangler & boat trailer! Thank goodness bc a huge storm came through! Also - literally only 2 minutes from the Port Oliver boat launch. Amazing & made our drops into the 💦 so easy! It was our first time to this lake & we will definitely be back - met so many kind locals! We even caught the annual poker run which was perfect for exploring the lake, coves & marinas! This stay was 5 stars all the way! Thanks for the booking!
