But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! This resort exceeded my expectations and was much more beautiful than the photos on the website which never happens! I highly recommend this beautiful place that is surrounded by the magnificent red rocks of Sedona. The villa, pool, hot tub and all of it was romantic and gorgeous! All of our needs were met and I would definitely go back! The only mistake I made was staying one night. I cannot express how exquisite our stay was and would definitely come back for more!!!
