"Stayed for a hiking weekend base camp. It was basic, but exactly what we needed for an inexpensive place to sleep between long days on the trail. The property is older, but clean and well-kept. Staff were friendly, and the hotel was quiet both nights. We slept well, which is really what matters on a trip like this. Breakfast was simple: waffles, cereal, toast, muffins, apples, coffee, and juice. No real protein options, but it was enough to get us started before heading out. If you’re looking for a no-frills, affordable place to stay for hiking around Walhalla/Seneca, this is a solid option."

"The building was in a neat location with modern amenities with an industrial feel. We did not have any issues with noise or parking (which is on-street). Beds are very firm - one is on an adjustable base. Unfortunately, the thermostat was not working when we arrived making the room unpleasantly warm, especially for sleeping. We arrived late, so did not attempt to connect about the issue until morning. We did not hear from the host in response to our requests until well after our departure the following day, which was disappointing. "

"The house was well stocked with everyday supplies (such as toilet paper and towels, laundry detergent and cookware). The house was clean and the beds very comfortable. The house was easy to find and had a view of the lake. A very nice feature was having access to YouTube TV and Netflix."

"I can't say enough about our stay and Clay, our wonderdul host! He was so kind, friendly, and helpful. I chose Clay's place because it was different from your typical home rental. Our room was wonderfully decorated. The beds were comfortable. We appreciated the water bottles in the mini fridge and our favorite ammeniry was the community area ! The loft is situated about a Mexican Restaurant that was full of life when we returned to our room after the Clemson game. Had it not been for an unexpected family situation that requried us to leave early, we would have gone down to enjoy the atmosphere!"
