This small hotel is a jewel. It is secluded next to the ancient Confucian shire grounds on a small alley with no thru traffic. You can walk five minutes to the Jongno 5 subway stop past at least five coffee shops and several small Korean restaurants and the ubiquitous 7/11 emergency food stores. There are markets in the neighborhood and the Insadong shopping area is conveniently close by. But get the kakao map app or have the address in Korean for a taxi driver or you will never find it.
The room I had was very small - almost no space for more than one piece of luggage, but very much sufficient for solo travelers with all you need, hot shower with good water pressure, warm room, wide enough double-ish bed (though abit hard), vanity, big TV, and very neat and clean. Staff were very helpful too even late in the night. Would stay there again, is good value for money!
Our stay was pleasant. It's about a 5 min walk to the subway, the bank is right in front if you need an ATM.
The rooms are clean and the staff is really nice. The beds are bit hard but after two days we were fine and our backs didn't hurt at all. The area this hotel is in is pretty quiet.
This was our second visit to Seoul and Hotel Zero provided a great launching point for visiting many sights on foot as well as being extraordinarily convenient to the excellent Seoul Metro. While basic by American standards, the hotel served every need of ours and the staff was without fail pleasant and willing to assist. Check in was beyond a breeze - less than a minute! Close to all kinds of eating options - Gwang Jang market in particular was a lively spot just a few blocks away where we had excellent rice cakes, bibim bap, gimbap and hand pulled noodles for breakfast and snacks. The relatively adjacent Jongmyo Shrine is worth a look. All-in-all, we had a memorable stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
good hotel rather than nice.
I stayed this hotel for a week in march 2017.visiting family n doing some shopping at near by dongdaemun market and namdaemun market.
It is a good location of this hotel to reach all points of interested such as doing shopping ,strolling in old palaces and experiencing some hustle and bustle things in the dynamic city of korea.
During my stay in this hotel I found great hospitality and home bound atmosphere.
I feel comfortable and very lucky.
Métro a 5 minutes à pied.
Personnel très accueillant malgré un anglais très peu parlé. Chambre très bien équipée et salle de bain spacieuse, seul petit bémol au niveau du matelas qui est très dur !
My son and I arrived late after 2AM. The staff was there ready to check in. But they put us in a room with one double bed which is barely enough for my son alone. The next day, the hotel manager voluntarily moved us to a larger room with two beds. Not sure who made the mistake. But they corrected it without our complaining is a plus. The rest of the stay was nice. All requests were fulfilled immediately.
The facility is small, without closet to put away your luggage. If you're looking for a large room like the one in the USA, you might be disappointed. The bed is more comfortable than the US. The internet is faster than the US. You can find everything, and all directions on internet.
Over all, the manager is very nice and willing to help. And the location is great in the middle of the city -- Nangdaemun Market is within walking distance (one stop subway).
