My Myeongdong Stay

The place is strategically in a good location . Few steps away from the Shopping area and Street Food . The Inn is very clean and well maintained though a very Small room.

Pretty much the same as Step Inn 1. They are in the same building and i believe use the same floors (I stayed on the same floor during both stays.) Very nice and clean! My only con was the mattress was a little too firm for my taste. Great location to shopping and the night market right on the street was great for snackies.

The room is so small, the hotel floor is so dirty and filthy of stuffs by the hall way. For first time visitor with no more than 2 people is ok. But I give 5 stars for the location and early check in accommodation. Very convenient and close to all tourist attractions. Best location for those who love shopping.

Clean and modern

Perfect location, right in the middle of Myeongdong. Walk outside and immediately there are night vendors, food stalls, restaurants, and fashion boutiques. Convenient to subway and bus as well. The staff look to all be young college students, they are not super friendly but they are polite and helpful. Breakfast is very simple with mostly toast, cereal, and juice, but they do have boiled eggs. The room is small but clean and modern, so we enjoyed our stay.

Had a pleasant stay in this hostel! Lobby staff were friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast in the morning were plenty and seating area was enough for the amount of people at a time. My hostel room, however, was really small, with almost not enough space for all of the girl's luggage together. We just had all our luggage lined up against the wall. The toilets and showers were in two different rooms so it was nice to have that separate space when you are showering or doing your business.

Pretty good as far hostels go for this price. Rooms had key card locks which was great the rooms were tight on space so some people had to leave their luggage in the hall (I don't think anyone had anything taken). The main downside was that the bathrooms (which you share with your 3 roommates) were pretty small to the point that whenever you showered the toilet would be soaked. Aside from that breakfast was solid and so was the experience with staff. Overall 8/10.

My family and I really enjoyed the week that we spent at the Step Inn. By U.S standards our room was rather small with a double bed, bunk bed, small storage area, small bathroom, TV, cube refrigerator, and not much else There's so much going on in Myeongdong and Seoul that we really didn't spend much time in the room other than to sleep. The staff was very helpful and nice. Even though the street outside was noisy, the room was quiet. The A/C worked great, which was appreciated in July. The beds were firm but comfortable. The Step Inn is very close to the Catholic Cathedral, lots of shopping and restaurants. It isn't that far from two subway stations on two different lines, and the Lotte department store. We saw Superman at the Lotte Cinema in English with Korean subtitles. At night, there are food stalls all along the street. A simple breakfast is included. We would definitely stay at the Step Inn again. Happy travels everyone!

I give this property an overall grade of 4 out of 5. The rooms may be not spacious compared to the hotels that I stayed and they don’t clean your room not after 4 days of stay. They can also improve their breakfast menu and their self serve laundry facility. However, they are located along the famous “Myeongdong Night Market” and “Myeongdong Cathedral”. Specially the staff are friendly, courteous, and able to speak English. I recommend to the owner to increase the salary of their staff who gave me an excellent service. Your “staff” is the key of your success!
