About this property

Why choose GracePointe Valley? Read our reviews! Enjoy the views, not traffic!

  • Come enjoy the incredible beauty of the Smoky Mountains at GracePointe Valley! The air is fresh, the trails are beckoning, and the creeks are rolling! If the cabin's cozy atmosphere, outdoor fire pit, and swing don’t get you in the mood, the lights, activities, and excitement of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge surely will!

And speaking of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, with all the excitement, unfortunately, comes lots of traffic (especially during peak seasons). If you'd prefer to enjoy the natural beauty of the area rather than sit in traffic, Grace Pointe Valley is the place for you. Situated in beautiful Wear's Valley, the area offers many options for back roads to avoid the traffic and congestion, with convenient access to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, allowing you to make the most of your vacation. An additional bonus is accessing the National Park's Metcalf Bottoms entrance, only a 7-minute drive from the cabin.

Perhaps this is your first time, or first time in a long time, to visit this area. We're not only interested in providing you with a clean, comfortable and well-equipped accommodations, but also want your experience to be one you'll never forget. We are life-long native East Tennesseans and are very familiar with the area. When it comes time to choose local things to do, enjoy great dining and perhaps, even expand your experiences to other areas in East Tennessee, we're here to help. Simply let us know a little about what you enjoy and we're ready and excited to recommend experiences you will love. Even though we're senior citizens, we are blessed with two married adult children and six grandchildren, with whom we enjoy having fun. We can recommend things which will appeal to all ages.

Now a little more detail about our cabin…GracePointe Valley is a true log cabin, with a unique blend of the comforts of modern structures, but with that special feel of an Appalachian log cabin of years gone by. Nestled in the woods, (but not TOO far in the woods), GracePointe Valley offers unique seclusion and privacy. While located in a primarily residential area, you’ll feel safe, yet secluded. If you’re lucky, you may even see one of our neighbors (racoons, deer, or perhaps, even a bear! For your safety and theirs, please don’t approach or feed the bears).

Outdoors, you’ll find spacious decks with rocking chairs, a game/dining table, a hot tub and a larger dining table for outdoor family gatherings. There’s also a fire pit (with unlimited, versus a “starter supply” of firewood provided) for those special evenings under the stars with a crackling fire and plenty of seating in classic Adirondack chairs and an old -fashioned porch swing.

We continue to improve the exterior of the cabin and recently added the pergola around the dining/hot tub deck with party lighting for celebrations or quiet dinners.

You can even sit in the hot tub and enjoy the firepit! (Can you tell we love the firepit?) A charcoal grill and outdoor dining set means dinner on the deck is a must! Other considerations include ample parking, a wrap-around deck, rocking chairs, a porch swing, and a hot tub. In other words, pretty much everything you need to relax, refresh, and renew.

We even expand our opportunity for you to relax and enjoy your family beyond the property at Grace Pointe Valley. On the back wall of the cabin, near the hot tub, you’ll find beach chairs that you are welcome to take to the creek. Don’t forget to take your favorite book, music, etc. to enjoy while sitting in the river on those warm summer days (You will want to download music, movies or podcasts, as cellular service is typically not available within the park).

We encourage you to take a look at our reviews. We think you will immediately see that we emphasize cleanliness at Grace Pointe cabin. We value cleanliness above all else and want you to feel safe and worry free while staying at the cabin.

Indoors on the main level, you’ll find a large gathering room, with a real-wood-burning, natural stone fireplace (also with firewood provided, a rarity amongst the other cabins in the Smokies). The gathering area includes a large-screen, high-definition television with cable service (including premium programming) and network connections for streaming your favorite programming. There’s even an HDMI cable for enjoying any gaming systems you may bring with you. The gathering area includes ample seating (large sofa, loveseat and rocking chair). For your enjoyment, there’s also a fully-stocked coffee bar with a Keurig and conventional drip coffee maker, plenty of mountain-themed mugs and is even stocked with an unlimited selection of K-cup coffees, teas, creamers and sweeteners.

In the dining section of the gathering room, you’ll find a large dining table, with seating for eight, for those special family dinners that taste so much better in the mountains. It’s also perfect for those family gametimes or for those jigsaw puzzles, which you rarely have time to enjoy together in our hectic culture. We provide a selection of games and puzzles, just in case you forgot to bring yours.

Don’t forget to check out the guest register that’s located on the small writing desk. It is chock full of notes about what other guests have discovered in the area and may give you ideas for new experiences. If you find something new, we encourage you to leave a note so future guests can also enjoy it, as well.

Just off the gathering area, lies the fully equipped kitchen, including a double-door, icemaker-equipped refrigerator with plenty of room for those groceries needed for those family dinners. The kitchen also includes range, with convection oven (which is basically a huge air-fryer), dishwasher, large microwave oven, toaster, blender, and even a crock pot! The kitchen is stocked with a broad range of cookware, dishes, cups, unique old fashion jar glasses and all the cooking utensils and silverware you’ll need for those family breakfasts and dinners.

Just off the gathering area, you’ll find the master bedroom, decorated in tasteful Appalachian style with its queen-sized bed, dresser (another rarity in the Smokies) and a television with cable service. (As a side note, all mattresses are encased to protect against any type of infestation.) We also include a full charging station for charging all if your favorite electronics. (Please bring your own cables as we can’t possibly anticipate all the variations in cables.) It also has a large double window, through which, if you look very closely, you may spy a visiting bear!

Also, just off the gathering area, you’ll find the laundry room, with washer and dryer and ironing board for your convenience. We even provide you with unlimited laundry detergent so that you don’t have to waste any opportunities to enjoy the fun things to do at Grace Pointe Valley, while making runs to the store.

The spacious master bathroom, located just off the gathering area, includes a jacuzzi-bath tub/shower and a large vanity with lots of counter space for getting ready for those special evenings out. All towels and linens and unlimited toilet paper are provided for the entire cabin, eliminating the need for you to bring those or making a store run.

Finally, just off the gathering area, is the doorway leading to large covered porch with rocking chairs and a game/dining table to enjoy those mountain sunsets, or perhaps, those occasional refreshing mountain rain showers. This porch is an excellent place to curl up with your favorite book or enjoy a gametime or a book or game from the selection of books and games shelved in the cabin.

Transitioning to the upstairs area, you’ll find a foyer area which houses a set of child-sized bunk beds. (Note: "child-sized"...meaning kids, not teenagers.) The beds are 33 X70 inches as compared with standard twins (which are 30 X 74 inches) bunk beds in the upstairs landing, making a fun spot for the kiddos. There’s even a television in the bunk area so the kids can enjoy their favorite programs while the adults enjoy their programs in the downstairs gathering area.

Off the foyer area, you’ll find two additional bedrooms, with dormer-style (slanted) ceilings, reminiscent of sleeping in Grandma’s upstairs log-cabin bedrooms. Each bedroom includes a queen bed decorated in vintage Appalachian style and includes a chest of drawers.

If time around the pool is on your vacation list, we also provide access to a nearby (About 1 mile) pool and fishing pond for your enjoyment! We pay the cost of the access. You'll receive access info to Honeysuckle Meadows pool and stocked fishing pond after booking.

Finally, please note GracePointe Valley is located in a quiet, mostly residential area and is definitely NOT a "party cabin." If your vacation plans include hosting loud outdoor parties, you will want to consider another property as you will not find GracePointe Valley to be a good fit for your group. On the other hand, if you're looking for the perfect spot to relax with a good book, enjoy a quiet evening around the firepit, or sweet family/friend dinner time on the deck, then GracePointe Valley is the perfect spot!

Great family Christmas getaway!

We had a great time at GracePointe! It was such a cute property and in excellent condition. Also very clean and had the best supplied cleaning products and most well-stocked kitchen we have ever encountered in our 10 years of Christmas trips. We would definitely recommend this cute little cabin!

MN family coming to see the Smokies

If you’re looking for a quiet place away from the traffic of Gatlinburg, this is it! A beautiful spacious, clean cabin with lots of outside seating on a fabulous porch. We had long days hiking and looked forward to relaxing at this home at the end of the day. Excellent communication with the owners. I’d definitely stay again.

Wonderful week

The home was perfect. They even provided paper towels, toilet paper and tons of spices and other pantry staples. The owner responded quickly when we needed to call him about the low firewood situation and he delivered it himself. The fireplace and hottub were the selling points. We would definitely stay here again.

The owner is very responsive. I have never been to a place that supplies coffee and spices, but this place does. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of space to just hang out in. The only thing I would say is that some areas were dusty.

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay at GracePointe Valley. Everything was as described and worked great for our family. The location was fantastic for everything we did. We even had the pleasure of seeing a bear one evening when we pulled in the driveway. The size was great for our family of four, plus the in-laws. We had no issues that we needed to contact the owner. They provided all the information we needed prior to check-in. We would stay here again.

Best Family Vacay!

We rented this property for a family vacation with our two grown daughters and our son-in-law. It was perfect for what we needed. The area was close to downtown and the attractions and restaurants we visited, but secluded enough for private family time. Everything we needed was included in the property, even extra paper towels and toilet tissue! We enjoyed the hot tub, games, and the coffee bar was amazing. We had a need to reach out to the owners as we left something behind and Michael was kind enough to send it back to us promptly. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

The perfect Cabincation!

GracePointe Valley was the perfect hidden gem for our Labor Day weekend family get away. It was exactly as advertised. The owners were prompt with responses prior to our arrival and we didn’t have any issues while we were there. We made use of the coffee provided and added to the collection for future guests. We didn’t have to travel more than 20 minutes to visit Pigeon Forge or hike the Smokies. We really enjoyed winding down each evening with dinner or games around the dining room table.

Great annual gathering

Location of the cabin is perfect! Cozy, clean cabin with great area for bonfires. We come down every fall to remember my father, who loved GSMNP! Stopping into Grandmothers kitchen is a must! The best biscuits ever! The exterior of the cabin had lots of huge spiders. There were so many webs on the table and rocking chairs, that we didn’t even use that part of the deck. My kids enjoyed the hot tub but it’s in need of a good cleaning. There were cute little raccoons that came onto deck each night. Appears that they live under the deck.

Simply beautiful!

Myself, my husband, and 2 other couples rented this cabin for a week. It's even more beautiful in person once you get inside. The hot tub was lovely and we used the outdoor seating and the fire pit more than the dining room table! My only complaint was I didn't like the bed, but that's simply due to personal preference. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are relatively close, but a good 20-30 minute drive. If it storms and the roads close it can be closer to an hour! Still a great location if you ask me! I would definitely rent again if I had a group the same size.

Quick Fall Break

We loved our stay and location at the GracePointe Valley cabin! After a full day at Dollywood we made it to the cabin for a good nights sleep and a relaxing morning after with SEC football, homemade breakfast of biscuits, bacon and Dollywood cinnamon bread. The location of the cabin was perfect to stay away from the crowd covered Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg by staying in/around Wears Valley and Townsend. We enjoyed a hot tub soak after a long afternoon hike and a fun afternoon of zip lining! Our only complaint was the excess of spiderwebs inside and outside the cabin but that is mostly due to the time of year. Also, a small blower would be extra handy for the porch!

Perfect place

We traveled with my wife, three kids, and my wife’s parents. The cabin was exactly as advertised. My family spent a lot of time in the park while her parents spent a lot of time relaxing at the cabin. It was great to have a place to come back to and relax after a long day of exploring. The cabin provided everyone in our group the experience they were looking for. The cabin is in a little neighborhood but you feel like you are the only ones in the area. It’s a short 15 minute drive to get into the park. The drive to Pigeon Forge can take 15-25 minutes depending on traffic. The cabin environment is so nice that you almost feel guilty leaving it to go to town. I will recommend this cabin to any of my personal friends if the plan a trip to the area.

Beautiful Tennessee property

We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful home. It felt like it was tucked away in a very quiet spot but it was within 10 to 15 minutes of pretty much anything you would need or want. We were 30 minutes from Gatlinburg and 30 minutes from Dollywood. Great location. The facilities were very nice. Plenty of coffee available for us! Very nice living room/kitchen area and the entire home was very clean. We enjoyed the fire pit every night. One minor note: the upstairs beds were pretty small, almost too small for two adults who aren't a couple to sleep in comfortably. Not a criticism! The house was beautiful and comfortable. Just something to be aware of. We highly recommend this home! The hosts were on top of all of our questions, were very helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay at the property.

Cozy cabin in the woods

Very nice cabin with all of the comforts of home. We have stayed at other VRBO properties before, but this one had many of the supplies that you would need without bringing them from home, like a huge supply of TP, paper towels, bath towels, beach towels dish soap etc. The kitchen is well supplied and even had some of the spices that you would want to add to a meal. We enjoyed the hot tub almost every night and the use of the fire pit. Upon driving up, it looked like we were in a subdivision, but the house is located on a deadend in some secluded woods that made us feel like we were out by ourselves. We were close to the Smokey Mountain park and also the city attactions. Correspondence with the owner was superb when a problem did arise. We were traveling with out daughter, SIL, and 4 grandchildren who all had an enjoyable week. I would definitely recommend if you are traveling to the Gatlinburg area.
