Cozy, modern cottage located in Seward, Alaska!

Mossy Spruce Lodging is a quick 5-7 minute drive (about 3 miles) to the harbor, shops, and restaurants. We are located in a peaceful, wooded neighborhood outside city limits. Our property boasts magnificent mountain views. There are 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed and 2 twin beds) and 1 full bathroom.

Our cottage was built in winter of 2016/2017. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and solid surface counter tops. The overall feel of the space is modern with some quirky and fun finishing touches.

FOR YOUR COMFORT: We provide WiFi, clean linens, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, a hair dryer as well as coffee, tea, cream and sugar. We offer Netflix and Disney Plus for guests to stream.

Lar and I, along with our 4 small children (Tell 10, Hazel 8, Flint 6, & Iris 3) live on site in the main house (September-May).

The cottage is next door to our main home. During the 3 busy summer months (June, July, and August), we offer our main home to guests as well. We stay in a camper on site and enjoy the sounds of nature in our cozy space.

If you have any questions about Alaska or anything else Lar and I are more than happy to answer them. We were both born and raised in Alaska so we know our way around. Lar grew up doing taxidermy with his dad and is an avid fly fisherman and hunter. He was also a hunting guide for several years so he has a whole plethora of knowledge when it comes to wildlife! We both enjoy the great outdoors. During the summer months we try to explore our beautiful surroundings as much as possible! We hope you enjoy our little slice of paradise!

This sweet little cottage was absolutely perfect for our family of 4! Anna and her family have thought of every detail. It is spotless and brand new. Special mention for the super comfy beds and truly dark blackout shades. Our family slept better here than anywhere else on our AK vacation! We also really appreciated the kid's books and games; they definitely came in handy for our kiddos. Communication and check-in were easy breezy. We have stayed in many many rental homes for our vacations and I can honestly say that this was one of the most flawless. Would 100% stay here again!

So clean, well appointed, welcoming, and comfortable. Sort of like glamping. In the woods. Such a nice location in nature but so close to Seward and many outdoor attractions. Note: there is only one bathroom.

Amazing Spot

Adorable and comfy cabin in a quiet spot! Spotless and nicely appointed for most guests. Near town but not in town. Parking adjacent to cabin. If you are large or have mobility issues you might want to reconsider. We enjoyed being together in the main room and having a kitchen. Very nice family owners and many kid details for family travel.

Perfect Home Base

Very nice cottage and perfect for our family. The location was quiet and peaceful, the cottage was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. This was the perfect home base for our stay with easy access to excursions out of Seward, hiking the exit glacier and a day trip to Russian River Falls area. We highly recommend this property.

Seward Cottage

Perfect little cottage for our family of 3. Anna was very reaponsive, communicating with us prior to our stay about recent snow conditions. She also marked in her info notebook the restirants that were open diring our stay. This cottage os close to downtown Seward, resturants, and trails. The home is cozy and comfortable. We would live to stay again!

Perfect location, great cabin

Stayed for five nights while exploring the Kenai. Perfect location to explore the whole peninsula and short drive to Seward. Cabin was super clean and exactly what we needed.

Perfect place to explore Seward

One of the best places we've stayed. Close enough to entering we wanted to see/do, but tucked away enough to enhance the Alaska experience. Well appointed, comfortable beds, and the host was really easy to work with. I hope to stay here again soon!

Short but enjoyable

We stayed for one night at the well-appointed cottage with extras galore. The cottage was the perfect size for my husband and two adult children. We plan to return to the Seward area soon and will be inquiring as to the cottage's availability then - a relaxing, quite and enjoyable stay away from the main street of Seward, but only 5 minutes away from downtown, its shops, and the coast. Five Stars+++

Cute Cabin located in the Woods

Cabin was conveniently located near Seward. Cabin was clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked and included spices and other cooking necessities. Grocery shopping and restaurants were close.

Seward Mountain Get-Away

From the moment my family of three walked in the door, we were impressed by the cleanliness of Anna’s home. Although it was not, the home gave off a feeling of being brand new. Careful details were given to make us comfortable. We appreciated the Keurig machine and snacks Anna left for us. We found her notebook very helpful for places nearby. Best of all, it was a short trip to downtown Seward. (Very convenient) I would highly recommend a stay here!

Clean, cute and comfortable.

We had a great stay with Annie and her family. She was accommodating with our late check in and checked on us the next morning. The porch and property was comfortable and relaxing. Just what we needed after a day on the Kenai Fjords and a charter fishing tour.. really liked our stay.
