The Swan at Streatley
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is now one of our go-to hotels. Location, accommodation ,staff and munus are all excellent, in our opinion. We would definitely recommend this hotel."

Donnington Hotel, Spa & Golf
8/10 Good
"The hotel itself is lovely and both dinner and the breakfast were great. The room was clean and there were great tea and coffee facilities. Unfortunately our remote didn’t work so I got the batteries changed and it still didn’t work so we gave up. The mattresses we had were concave and very soft so they weren’t comfortable to sleep on. We set our air con to 16 but didn’t cool the room, we got up in the night and put the fan on a higher speed but it didn’t help so we got up again turned it off and opened the window. Eventually the room cooled and we got to sleep but work up very tired. I think perhaps the rooms need a little refreshing and the mattresses updating, perhaps the air con looked at."

The George Hotel, Dorchester-on-Thames

"Great hotel only thing I have to criticise is the pool size"

Delta Hotels by Marriott Swindon

"Had a really nice stay. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel and grounds were excellent. The Italian garden was looking a bit 'tired' though, but still a nice area. Swimming pool was excellent but the showers in the changing rooms need attention. Our rooms were allocated in the 'Garden Rooms' block which was fine. Nice and spacious. There are plenty of inside areas to sit and relax. Especially the library. The choice of food at breakfast was good but it could have been hotter. If they had a plate warmer that would help I think. The bar food menu was excellent and well cooked. Overall it was a lovely and relaxing hotel. We will definitely be going back at some point."

Regency Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"A birthday treat for my daughter and I. The rooms are tired and the shower in the bath was awful. I know it’s unusually hot at the moment but the room was like a sauna! We asked for another fan but to no avail. Desk staff not at all helpful and welcoming. Spa staff were lovely and we had a very enjoyable massage with a really lovely lady. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and helpful."

Hare & Hounds Newbury
8/10 Good
"First room we stay was next to a very busy road so if you are like me and prefer a quiet night sleep then i would recommend to put in requests un before you arrive. Rooms was lovely decorated however the cleaning was quite poor a lot of dust not sure if that was living up to living in a paddock but could do with some attention. While food was nice, not a lot of choice and was rather expensive but there is lot of eating places in the down centre. Staff very helpful throughout our stay but seem to be very busy juggling different roles so at times there were a bit of a weight. Room could do with having a phone or few extra amenities such aa iron or even having tea spoons for making a hot drink and some milk rather than having to go down to reception making staff work even harder."
