"Off the beaten track in a town that has all the amenities needed, and in a beautiful region. The hotel was a great size, not too big at all. Breakfast was included and deliciously made! The pub in the hotel was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the area. The biscuits, face cloths and fan in the room were appreciated, first hotel to have these small but nice additions (after staying in seven previously). The hotel is modest, clean, with kind staff, and had all we needed. "

"The location is in the countryside with 40 shades of green all around. The location served as our base for exploring Glendalough, which was one of the top places to see on our 3-week trip, as well as Powerscourt Gardens, Waterfall, and other attractions such as Lough Tay and the bridge from the movie, "P.S. I Love You". My wife loved the washer/dryer in the apartment. "

"We stayed with our lovely hosts Jo and Jim at their beautiful B&B. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Lovely Jo showed us to our room and it really did exceed expectations. Breakfast was delicious with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and fresh coffee etc. Jo and Jim went over and beyond to make us feel at home. We will definitely be back. "The hotel is in a peaceful and pleasant country setting with neat gardens, a tidy organic farm, and a stream flowing past the property. There is a small chapel across the stream. Overall, the setting is very nice. The room we were allocated was a bit disappointing (for the price charged) as the decor was a little tired and in need of freshening-up. (I understand some rooms in other parts of the hotel had been recently refurbished). Breakfast: the servers were very pleasant and helpful....

"The town of Arklow is a quaint, quiet little town, very walkable, a river nearby. The Hotels proprietor was a very friendly, kind, helpful man. Check in at the bar was quick, room was nicely renovated, it could have been the time of year but it was VERY quiet in the upstairs area, I felt like I was the only one staying there. There was a bountiful, delicious breakfast the next morning, a full Irish breakfast and I had a lovely chat with the barkeep....he had been working there for 50...
