This is a great hotel. The breakfast buffet is terrific and all of the staff are great. We were given a free upgrade both times we stayed at the Oberoi. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Mall Road and other areas of interest

It's truly a 5-star hotel in Shimla. Rooms are super spacious and neatly kept. The hotel has its English architecture still very well maintained. The food served was super delicious. We had our infant with us; he was provided with the right and tasty baby food. I will definitely come again.

The Oberoi Cecil is absolutely terrific. Both times we stayed we were given an upgrade...the last time to a full suite! All of the staff in the hotel are tremendous and the morning buffet is absolutely fantastic! Mall Road is easily walkable, and there are many interesting connecting roads lined by interesting shops. I am celiac, and the chef Rajiv went out of his way to ensure that I had lots of special menu options. Arti and the assistant manager Raghav were invaluable at the front desk, as were a number of other people. The manager Swati also proved to be very kind and helpful!

The Cecil is an amazing property- which is an oasis only ten- fifteen minutes away from Mall Road. Everyone from check - in, restaurant and check out was excellent! The lounge was absolutely our favorite place to hang out. We will most definitely return.
