"客室もきれいでよかったですが私は使い捨てのスリッパがないことが残念でした"

"This hotel is gorgeous. Highly recommended. The outdoor onsen is magical!"

"While the service and location were both excellent, I was disappointed to be put in the dog wing literally. I didn’t book a dog room. Don’t have a dog. Chose this hotel for views which were on the east wing our room was in the west aka dog wing. Spa service was fantastic! Onsen experience was super relaxing. All good except for being with dogs!"

"Loved loved loved! Wished I had booked this for the entire trip and probably will book again if I return. The home was thoughtfully curated and exactly as pictured. Very scenic drive and quiet neighborhood. Instructions were straightforward with check-in/route/guidelines and host was very responsive. Note: if you are using public transport and have more than a back pack, I suggest catching a ride from the drop off point to the home."

"This is a beautiful Japanese inn. We loved having the whole experience including the use of the private onsen, the beautiful tatami mats, the delicious multi course meal, and wonderful staff. It's very close to gora station so it's very convenient. It's a wonderful value for a indescribable experience."

"The manager very helpful. The room and the Onsen nice. Just missing some towel hooks in the bathroom and bedroom."

"めっちゃ良かったです！ご飯美味しい！"

However, the main sitting area was lovely and interesting and the staff were top notch - warm and accommodating. If you are looking for character and tradition over modern comforts, you will enjoy your stay very much. It’s also just a short walk to Gora station where you can hop on the cable car and ropeway as...

"食事も温泉もとても良かったです。 中強羅駅にも徒歩で行けるのでとても便利でした。"

"I was very disappointed with this property. We booked for two nights and ended up leaving after the first night. Upon arrival I felt that the classification of 4 star hotel and the pictures on their website were misleading. The majority of the pictures on their website are of their common areas. The room that I had (triple deluxe room) was poorly maintained and had stains on the floor, walls, and ceilings. The hotel and the room smelled of mildew. The outdoor bath was poorly maintained and...

"Beautiful Rakuten"

"Amazing experience! Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and open air bath was phenomenal! Dinner and breakfast were delicious, overall very authentic and comfortable experience. Great way to end a trip!"
