"Quirky building which makes a change from modern chain hotels. Rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is available and very good quality although as you have to wait for it to be cooked, it's not ideal if you are in a rush to get away in the morning."
"A lovely hotel in the Heart of Shrewsbury. Room was spotless and staff were very friendly and helpful. Complementary sherry on arrival.A lovely breakfast in the morning with plenty of choice. I will stay here again."
"The property is interesting, old but in need of some tlc. The room was clean but let down by stained carpets. Bathroom was ok but the tile grout needed replacing. There was no restaurant facilities which let the overall stay down"
"Great room, staff very helpful & friendly, helped with bags up to our room. Food good. Parking Great.
Bed very comfortable, linens good. The staff went out of their way to make up a snack box for us leaving early morning. The night reception was very helpful and made sure we had our snack box and offered tea and coffee and was super a nice man."
"My second time staying there and both times it was excellent. The room was warm, the towels soft and fluffy, I only wish they had softer pillows as I woke with a sore neck, but overall, a very relaxing stay."
"Clean and comfortable. Excellent location. If you run out of tea, milk pods sugar there is a cupboard when you walk in to help yourself and lollies which I found a lovely touch. Will definitely return but won’t park under the trees in front as a terydactyl 😂 had pooped on my car!"
