"I chose Ramada based on the price for two nights. The room was very comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was nice although water temperature was tough to regulate. The carpets and chair cushion were in dire need of cleaning or replacement. The casino was scary. A patron in the diner looked to have overdosed. First responders came and took him away. My friend and I ordered dinner and waited at the nearby bar. We are familiar with the area so weren't surprised by the clientele. Honestly, we felt safe and the bartender was very friendly. The cook brought our food to us. He was very friendly as well. We took the food back up to the room. It was delicious! I had a cheeseburger; she had a grilled chicken w/bacon sandwich. We were very pleased. The registration area was nice and clean. The customer service agent was great! Wish I'd gotten her name. Overall, if you just go to registration and your room, you won't notice the less than savory folks. The hotel definitely needs a remodel or at least a good cleaning of the carpets, etc. However, I was pleased with my visit and would stay again when money is tight. If you're going to stay here, be prepared. There are some homeless folks in the parking lot and surrounding areas. Luckily I knew what I was getting into and it was worth the price!"

"The hotel and the location were great. However, the check in process was chaotic. We arrived at the hotel around 2:15 and went to check in, zero line, knowing that our room might not be ready yet. The registration person took our information and told us that check in started in about 30 minutes. Not a problem. This is where it got strange. There are multiple kiosks for self-check in and a couple people working. Before the official check in time, a couple people went to a kiosk and received their key. So, we thought we would check and see if we could as well. Turns out there was a $50 charge for getting your key early, which at this point was only about 10 min before the official check in time. I logged back out to wait. By check in time, there was a huge, single file line. I had recently hurt my knee so was sitting off to the side to wait until the line cleared. When check in started, everyone was waiting for the two staff members. I don't know if they could use the kiosks or not but it didn't appear that people were being told they could use them as no one at the front of the line went to them. A couple people bypassed the line, went up to the kiosks and received their key. So, we did too but it felt like cutting the line even though they were not being used. Could everyone use them or just people who stopped by a head of time and kind of prechecked in? Not sure but having someone directing traffic would have been very helpful to those that waited longer."
