Ramada by Wyndham Hancock Waterfront
8/10 Good
"Paid for an upgraded king bed room, was placed in an ADA room and the was switched to 2 queen beds because no king beds were available"
Baraga Lakeside Inn
8/10 Good
"The Baraga Inn was a decent place to stay. The property inside definitely needs some work. There was a lot of peeling wallpaper and the stairwells looked as if there was possibly water damage, or just poor workmanship. Our room was large (king size bed) but the pillows were the worst I've ever had in a hotel. Very small and lumpy. I would wish for more outdoor seating at the water. The best aspect was the restaurant attached to the hotel. This was very convenient, the food was good, and the wait staff were exceptional. The location is good for traveling up the Keweenaw Peninsula, it's about an hour and a half from Copper Harbor, and maybe a half hour to Houghton and Hancock. The pool and sauna area were clean. Overall, the hotel just needs some basic maintenance."
Beautiful Keweenaw Country Cottage! Located in Upper Peninsula MI! Fenced yard!
10/10 Excellent
"Kim is a wonder host. She was very present and made sure everything was good. We shared some things we brought/bought and she shared with us some local things too. Nice to come back from touristy things to the clean house. Our pooch enjoyed the freedom of the fenced yard and all her accommodations for having a dog in the home."
Fishermen and water lover's paradise!
10/10 Excellent
"This lovely, comfortable home, situated on Torch Lake, provides the perfect spot from which to explore the Keweenaw peninsula. For our family, this house truly became a "home away from home." Quiet, very restful and quite private. Furnishings, including beds, were comfortable. Kitchen had all we needed to cook and serve meals. Walk-in shower with both fixed and handheld shower heads. Plenty of towels, including beach towels. Other amenities we really appreciated: washer/dryer; air conditioning and box fans; large, furnished deck; dock from which to watch the sunsets, read or even fish (fishing poles provided and even found bait in the refrigerator); and kayaks. Plenty of other amenities, though we didn't take advantage of all. Host and hostess next door, ready to help as needed but in no way intrusive. So happy I decided to make this our home for our 6-day get-away."
Carla's Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Very friendly and helpful owner. Room was very clean with comfortable bed and the view was fabulous."
AC4 Northwoods Getaway perfect for relaxing getaway
10/10 Excellent
"This is a perfect place for a couple. Comfortable bed and nice hot water were greatly appreciated. Communication with host Vern went smoothly. Unit is adequately stocked with cooking items. Location is quiet, just behind the fire station. Plenty of parking. Our travel was summertime, so parking could be different with snow on the ground. Close (walkable) to Portage Lake. It is a 10 minute drive to Michigan Tech's campus. If you are eating out, most restaurants will be found in Houghton. Super appreciative that this is a pet-friendly place."
