River Cottage, close to the Capital of Connemara

10/10 Excellent
"A fabulous holiday house in an absolutely stunning region. The quality of furnishings was excellent; plenty of kitchen ware and bathroom fittings were great. Thank you for the lovely welcome hamper, it was much appreciated. Water pressure was strong; showers invigorating. Peat water was ‘interesting’ but bottled water discovered in cupboard for drinking. Rain stopped play on use of the outside seating/BBQ etc. but the views over the reed bed and river were fantastic. Every day we spent much time listening for and observing the birds in their natural habitat. We would certainly return without hesitation, loved this property and the many adventures on hand within the county of Connemara."

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful holiday home in Ireland. The house was lovely, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was absolutely amazing and a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Ireland. The communication was also excellent. Everyone we had contact with was very friendly, helpful and easy to reach. If we could give one small suggestion, it would be to add a covered outdoor area. With the changeable Irish weather, it would have been lovely to have a sheltered place where you can still sit outside and enjoy the surroundings, even when it rains. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and look back on our holiday with very happy memories. We would definitely recommend this beautiful place!"

"Clean and quiet lodge great for anyone looking for a peaceful stay. A 10 minute walk into the town and a 20 minute bus ride to Connemara National Park which was absolutely stunning. The breakfast was quite good as well for a buffet style arrangement, able to have a full Irish if you so please as well as fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal. The staff were very accommodating as there were huge delays with the rails and a missed train the day we arrived and we didn't get in until after 8 pm with no problems."
